My Instagram Life 2#

So hi...

Another Instagram post here today!
The idea of these posts is to show what I've been posting and doing on instagram in terms of portraying how well life is going but at the same time get real with you and say the things that weren't so picture perfect that have happened. Super real, Super honest, that's these posts.

My instagram has kept the theme of food selfies and drawings like last month but with a few more selfies!
I've been feeling selfie strong the last few weeks, well it terms of my face anyway. Body wise I've been a bit down and have started changes to get a little healthier and lose weight, as currently I just can't say I'm happy.
My drawings have been progressing really well, the copic markers I've bought are amazing and I've starting to draw sketches and drawings the way I want first time without having to erase and re draw a 10000 times, it's been a great motivator and confidence booster.
The lack of drawings however has been due to assignment period, the last 3 weeks has been a big stress to hand in and complete three different assignments all within a very short amount of time from each other, the university didn't really plan it out very well and It's cause a load of stress for a number of students.
My sleep schedule has also been awful still, I'm either not sleeping or sleeping for an hour or so at random points in the day, it's to the stage where I'm planning to see a doctor about it as it's past the stage of normal, I was awake for nearly 40 hours without feeling too sleepy this week and it was very weird. (I'm also writing this at 5am, yay).
and that's my instagram life recently.

How has the last few weeks been for you?

Lifestyle - Cooking: Pizza Pasta Bake.

So hi...

Cooking man that thing you gotta do to eat and live and shit. I quite like that thing. It's a bit of a pain sometimes when you're living away from home as a student and all you want is a good homemade meal from mum or dad because you don't have the energy to make it yourself...
so you settle for oven chips and chicken dippers instead...

Yeah that's a sad time.
But in general I really enjoy cooking and baking. Me and my cousin used to go crazy with baking when we were younger and now he's a chef in training, Makes me feel proud. Now I'n not that great at cooking but you know, most thing I make comes out tasty pretty damn good, and I have yet to have a disaster meal even while experimenting.

Now leading on from that, I love pizza, It's possibly my favourite food, although chinese fights pizza constantly over that decision. At home I didn't really have pizza often which made me sad, now at Uni I get to have it whenever I want (Whether takes takeaway: Dom you bae. Or a £1 pizza from morrisons) But sometimes I like to get experimental with it. and that idea lead to this.

Pizza Pasta Bake!BAM.

Does that not sound like heavenly goodness? I thought of it while cooking pasta for lunch and googled for recipes with little results, How was this not on buzzfeed yet? So I decided to yolo it and try to make it myself, and here is the results. Let me tell you it went pretty successfully.
Ingredients:
Pasta
Chopped tomatoes
tomato puree
basil and any seasoning of choice
Pepperoni slices
normal cheese of choice
Mozzarella
Okay so it's pretty damn simple to make this.

First I part boiled the pasta, then drained and added the chopped tomatoes and put straight back onto the hob. This is where you can add any seasoning and extras if you want, I just cut up some pepperoni and added it in.
Let all that simmer and cook for a few minutes ( I left it for around 10). While that's simmering you can grate and slice your cheeses and turn on your oven to warm up.
After the 10 minutes take it off and pour it into your tray of choice. I used a small cake tine as I wasn't making a huge batch since I only cook for me and this was an experiment.
You can then top your pasta with your grated cheese followed by pepperoni slices and finally topped with the mozzarella.
Pop this into the oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the top is melted golden goodness.

You can then serve up with a big spoon and cry happy tears and the goodness. You are welcome.

Have you heard of this before? Or have any other recipes for me to try?

Monthly Round up: February 2016

So hi...

This year so far has been a bit of a whirlwind. It felt like it was a little slow the first week of January but so got going. February has definitely continued that trend, I think it's a mixture of the increased amount of work at uni in 2nd year as well as kinda waiting around for the holiday at the end of march and the foals gig at the end of feb.

It'a been a pretty decent month, I had a really hectic last week due to my bank cards being swallowed by an ATM for no reason and then a passport loss scare ( which I was able to find thank god!) but those issues were resolved and I'm feeling pretty positive! I got a few art pieces done, all fanart of the Game Undertale, which wasn't planned but oh well. I got my first qwertee haul ( here) and got some awesome clothes and the end of feb I went to a gig which is always fun.
Now we are onwards and upwards to March, I already have paintballing planned as well as the weekend trip to Dublin as well which I am literally so excited for!

How was your February? and what plans do you have for March?

It's a struggle.

So hi....

This isn't going to be a very well done post, it's very impromptu and I'm literally writing it and posting it, bam done.

I just wanted to say sorry to those who do read my blog, as I've been lacking time energy and serious motivation to get my posts written and done. It's not even a matter of a lack of post ideas and inspiration, I have the ideas and plans, I really wanted to post daily september and well that was a fail. I seriously under estimated how much time it would take me to settle at uni, we're nearly a month in and I still haven't gotten into a proper routine, although this week is definitely my calmest since Ive moved back.
But I'm apart of 3/4 Different societies whch I'm trying to stay active and committed in, as well as 3 assignments already set and still recovering from my injury which leaves me quite tired quite quickly. All this just leaves me lacking in everything really, and I'm struggling to make time for my blog.

SO I just want to say here that for this week, I will be having a break, Writing up posts slowly and preparing them, With the hopes that starting next week, or maybe even the weekend I can start rolling out my posts again. I still have the #WestmidlandsBloggerMeet to tell you guys about and a super Exciting NEXT lingerie Event I was lucky enough to attend, But that is for next week.

I hope you guys can understand, and I'm thankful to every person that takes the time to read this little space of the internet of mine. I really do love my blog and the blogging community and I want to enjoy it again soon.

Thanks for reading!

2nd Year Uni aims

So hi...

With one week of uni done with, now starts the real business where the subject content starts and we get right into working on assessments and preparing for exams in January. Now that I'm starting my second year as well I have a much better Idea of what to expect and have a few goals and aims I want to achieve, built off mistakes and things I wish I did better with last year.

-Experiment more with cooking. Although I can cook a pretty good amount of things I always get lazy at uni and rarely cook anything super interesting, I'd like to try and cook something new or just more interesting than pasta/stir fry weekly.

-Learn to properly use SPSS. Last year we learn about SPSS for a lab report, and to be honest I didn't really learn how to use it properly, instead I just did what got the report done, but I want to try and seriously.

-Be more Active. This is to basically not be a completely lazy shit all year, to get out and enjoy Birmingham, even just to not put off going shop, or simply walking to uni rather than always taking the bus.

-Stay involved in chosen Societies. Similar to my October aims, but obviously intended for the whole year is my commitments to societies. I really want to stay highly involved in the Women's football, the Burlesque Society and the Rock Soc Society. I'm also apart of a few more but those one's don't tend to meet up or have socials often.

-Keep my notes updated and Separate. So last year I had all the notes for all my modules in one notebook & it was an awful idea, some people did this then organised the ripped out pages but I can't really do this myself, I end up thinking the separate pages aren't important and it feels very messy to me. So this year I have a note book for each of my different modules, organised.

-Lose weight. This would have been a pretty appropriate aims for October as well to be honest. As I was pretty immobile from July to the beginning of September due to my broken foot this meant I put on weight, Not a lot as I couldn't really eat much anyway but still more than I wanted considering I'm already not happy with my own weight. But on the plus I have already started to go back down for the last 2/3 weeks so yay.

Those are my major objectives for the next academic year, all really doable, I just have to keep motivated and not sit on my butt all the time.

Are you returning to uni? Or just starting?

October Aims.

So hi...

Only 3 more months till we've finished 2015 and I'm barely used to writing 2015 on the date, but autumn is upon us and I have another set of aims for the month of October, As I'm heading into the full swing of University, a few of them are quite uni/Birmingham related.

-Keep in contact with Friends. Both in and outside of Birmingham, Since my uni friends aren't as easily accessible like last year I need to make more effort, and I just generally miss talking to my home friends more when I never see them

-Learn my way around Birmingham Better. Because I lived and had my campus in Perry bar last year I hardly ever went to the centre, and as such I hardly know my way around, now I'm dead centre and looking forward to exploring.

-Visit more Cafes and little food places around the City. I'm a sucker for cafes and little food joints, and the idea of going into cafes, grabbing a coffee and just doing some work on your laptop seems adorable and oh so chic, so I'd love to try it.

-Stay ahead of Uni work. Pretty understandable one here. Although I passed last year and got all my work done, I definitely could have done it better and I definitely could have made more of an effort to keep my notes up to date, So this year, as it really counts, I aim to.

-Do Extra reading every weekend. Adding on to the last point, I really want to read more into my subject and the topics that I'm interested in, I choice to do this at university so I should make a real effort to learn the field.
-Increase Daily Productivity. There are 24 hours in a day, and because I have such a bad sleeping schedule I probably only sleep for 6/7 of that, that's 17/18 Hours in the day that I could be spending doing useful things to be productive and improve my life. I spend way to much time lazing around doing nothing.

-Keep Working The Confidence. One of last month's aims was about being more confident, and I even note a post about it. And I've achieved that amazingly well, I'm not 100% sure how I made myself do it but the same body I thought was monsterous and fat I now look at thinking, I'm not ideal, but damn do I look good in that dress/top etc. I'm still working towards small fitness and health goals, but confidence is growing in me and boy do I feel sassy.

-Read and listen to news more. As shameful as it is, I hardly ever read the news, I see and hear a lot of things through the odd facebook post and tweet but that's a minor amount to what i should be reading, especially as a criminology student. and I do enjoy reading the news, but I think I like to have a newspaper to read the news, online there is just a little too much going on everywhere for me to read and know everything. But I'll start slow and find a way.

-Attend and get involved with my Societies. I joined up to 3/4 Extra societies this year on top of the 2 I was already apart of last year, and two of them are rather active, That's at least 3 societies and meetings to keep up with weekly, as well as the other which meet every month or so. But I'm super excited to be apart of the different communities and I know I'll love it.

And those are my aims for the month of October, very doable and most of them are just a case of setting a new habit for myself.

What are the aims you've set yourself this month?

Lifestyle: Long term Saving.

So hi...

Saving is something I feel everyone is doing all the time for one thing or another, me included. There are always short term and long term things people want in life and unless you're stinking rich, you gotta save towards those things, I have a pretty long List of things I want to save for in the long run, some things are only a few months to save and some are things I'll be spending the next couple of years saving for, so I thought it might be interesting to share those things with you guys, as well as the rough amounts for each.

-Sewing machine: £50-£100: I'm dying to get into proper dressmaking as I'm getting a good grip on sewing by hand but for that I'll need a sewing machine, I know IKEA does one for £40 but I'm considering saving for a slightly better and bigger one, I'll hopefully have this by December, if not then I'll be asking for one for Christmas.

-Mannequin: £20: This is nearly short term as it's not expensive but It's not necessary either which is why it's considered the long term, because I'll be waiting till I feel I can spare the £20 and it wouldn't do to better use else where. It'll be awesome for cute display purposes as well as dressmaking.

-Slow Cooker & Food Processor: £70-80: Living alone and cooking for myself for a year really made me want to get better with cooking and experiment with more recipes but I've had a few cases where I've needed a slow cooker or food processor to make the recipe properly, I'm aiming to have this early next year.

-PS4 & Xbox One: £350 odd each: These are big buys. I first wanted only the Ps4 because of Bloodborne but more and more releases are coming to Xbox One that I'm starting to think of getting one, I currently have a Xbox 360 and a laptop capable of playing most PC games. Maybe I'm just being a collector/hoarder but I want them. This will be a long time coming though because of the I don't need them thing, The PS4 will be first and if I could get another job in Brum I think I could get one mid next year some time.

-Car and Lessons: £5,000 The longest saver here, Saving for driving lessons, the needed tests and for a good car. And I most like will need even more than £5,000, but that's my aim. I'm hoping to have the lessons money mostly collected by next summer so I can hopefully learn and pass then, after that saving for a car will be dependent on my job situations but with any luck will only be 2/3 Years/

-Holidays: £1,500: So next year I'll be going on holiday 3 times, Dublin in march, Spain in the beginning of April and Amsterdam in July. It's going to be amazing but that's a lot of spending money and travel costs to cover. But they are all around £500 and If I'm well behaved with my spending and work, I should be quite set, Though these Holidays set back the rest of the long term savings options.

Nokia Lumia 725: £140: The phone I already bought and got broken in a month due to drunk people in clubs but I really adored this phone and want it again as soon as possible, It'll be another one for the Christmas list most likely.

That's my long term Saving list, I'm hoping to have 1 or 2 of them ticked off by the end of this year if I budget correctly and another 2/3 ticked off by the end of next year, It's a long process but after I tick them all off I'll have a car been on holiday a load and have the next gen consoles happily in my room. That'll be the dream eyy.

What are your long term saving Goals?

The Autumn Lip.

So hi...

It is just me or has the cold come around a little too quickly? It still felt summery last week and now it's absolutely freezing! what's that about, anyway with that in mind I've been having a little look in my lipstick collection to see what lip colours I'll be using this autumn. I like to go two ways with lip colour in cold weather, either the typical dark berry and purple toned colours, or nude and lightly pink toned colours. I don't know why but they are just my thing for autumn and winter. So I got together a little collection of what I think I'll be reaching for this Autumn, and it's a fair few.

From the make up Revolution #Liphug collection there are three colours I'll be using, The top, darkest one is 'Saviour will come' It's a dark browny berry toned colour which would be nice for those milder nights out. The second colour is called 'To get lucky' and is a little similar to the first but is much lighter and has more of a reddy tone to it, I think this would be for days when I was feeling a little sassy. The last one is 'insatiable' and is a lovely Pink tone with a hint of red, a nice staple colour for any situation really.

And there's the rest, The two in the top are also from Make up Revolution and are the shades 'Rebel without Cause' which is a bright berry purple and the other from the Vamp shade collection is '100% vamp', a super dark, nearly black purple, definitely a vampiric color. Both would be for either nights out or a daring super cold day.
The next two are both from the Rimmel Moisture renew range, The first shade is 380 'Dark night Waterl-opps' a super pigmented plum Berry colour, perfect to keep my lips soft against the harsh weather and you gotta have a berry colour for the colder months, it's a must. The second shade is a vibrant dark pink shade called 360 'As you want Victoria' I can see myself wearing this the most, such a sassy and stand out pink.
The last two are the nude tones I mentioned and are different brands. The first is an oldie from Maybelline and from there water shine range, It's called 24 'Hazelnut sauce' And very much fits the name, it's a super browny nude colour, makes me feel super sophisticated, I'll be wearing this on the quick days where I wanna look effortlessly chic.
And the last which is a perfect my lips but better pink nude for me is from collection in the shade 13 'Vintage Rose'. Whenever I just can't be bothered but don't fancy looking a wreck at uni, I'll be slicking this on for a perfect pout.

And those are the picks for Autumn and winter, I will probably also be wearing 107 by Kate Moss because it's my most favourite lipstick of all time, but I talk about that enough so I left it out this time.

What will you be reaching for this Autumn?

September Aims,

So hi...

September is gonna be a bit of an odd one, it's the ending of summer for me and when I go back to uni, It's gonna be a quiet start with a super hectic end as I visit Southampton, Bedford and Sheffield and go back to Birmingham to my own flat. It's gonna be a strange one, it's also the start of my second year of uni, but I'll have a post on that close to the time! So my aims for the month of September.

1. Walk regularly & Exercise. This has been something stupidly hard to do the last 2 months, a broken bone is highly limiting, but with the healing process nearly done I'll definitely be easing myself into regular walks and exercise.

2. Get out Often. Kinda linking in with the last aim but on more of a do something other than sit inside angle, just because I've really done enough of that the last 2 months,

3.Get involved in blogger chats on twitter. I got involved in a few a while back but it's so much dedication to remember when all the chats are and keep up with the topics and stuff but I'm going to try and keep up with at least one chat.

4. Enjoy myself. This is a super personal one in that I have missed so many opportunities in life from laziness or just being too worried to do it. And I really regret that I did that to myself. So my twenties I hope will be the year of opportunities and testing my boundaries, a quote that relates to this feeling is 'Adventure starts where your comfort zone ends'

5. Don't sweat the little things. Despite the name of my blog, I really consider the little negative things way too much, I let myself overthink and ruin my happiness. I end up trying too hard to 'have fun' and end up thinking about it too much. So aiming to stop that, don't worry about people's opinions, especially if it would mean you holding back from things that make you happy.

6. Eat Clean and well. I think I'm quite a good eater generally, especially at uni, although I can't help the odd takeaway, but I'm quite well behaved, but at home, I have little control and tend to eat pretty badly, But Before I head back to uni I want to kick start my clean eating again.

7. Explore more often. This is more for the end of the month when I head to Brum but I really want to make a point of exploring my surroundings more, with Birmingham being the second biggest city in Luton I'm sure there's a load of hidden gems and things to explore, and I want to do that.

8. Fake it till you make it. This is a confidence one, I've always been super conscience of my size and body image, when I was younger I was taller and much bigger than the other kids, Although I've grown into my height and size a bit (I'm quite the shorty now) I'm still quite big I feel, But a comment made about some other people made me realize that I'm really not as big as I think I am and A new part of it is my huge lack of confidence in myself, I also really don't know how to properly dress to make the most of my body, but I'm getting there recently, and It's exciting. I'm still on that weight loss grind but not as recklessly as before.

And those are my aims for the month of September! What are your aims for this month?

Tips for bills. (From a Student to a student)

So hi...

Bills, the dreaded thing most teenagers know of but have the luxury to never have to worry about them thanks to their dear parents that pay them and sort all that business out so we can stay warm, eat cooked food and charge all our electrical things.
But going into second year at uni has meant getting a flat... getting a flat has meant having to consider the bills. Not being lucky enough to have a flat with bills included meant I had to sort them all out myself.
I really have to say I think things like bills should be made compulsory in schools because whether we like it or not, it's HIGHLY likely we will all have to do our own bills at one point in our life.
So with this in mind and as a student who has just about sorted out her bills for the year I thought I would give a few tips.

Know what you're new place has and hasn't got.
When you look at a house you probably don't consider whether it has a meter, if it's heated through gas or electric and things like that but It's so so so important to consider, I spent ages having to chase up the agency and emailing back and forward to grill them for information like this, because I didn't know and most gas and electric companies want to know as much about your property as possible so they can get you the best or most appropriate deal.

Look around.
Now I didn't actually do this too much when it came to gas and electric, as I just decided to stick with the previous supplier of the property as all I needed to do was change the property to be in my name, you may also be in this position, but if not, really research your options, I definitely did this when it came to broadband. It's also a good idea to check whats available in your area, I was annoyed to find that the 152mb internet speed deal that me and my flat mates wanted from virgin wasn't available in the area of our flat. (apparently Birmingham doesn't do good broadband speed)

Council tax.
Now everyone has to pay council tax, it's just a thing, but is it? As a full time student you're exempt from council tax. I've been told in most cases the council tax is sorted by the agency in most cases but with the 2 different agencies I dealt with while house hunting the tax was required to be dealt with by the tenants. So remember to sort this out! For me in Birmingham I had to fill out an online form, I was then sent a few more forms to fill out and had to get an official letter from my uni as proof of my attendance ( although some uni's have deals with their council to make it easier of their students, mine doesn't typical) This meant I could prove I was a student and exempt from council tax.

Those are the best kinda long tips I could give from my experience of sorting my flat's bills this year. It was a scary and super adult feeling responsibility and stress but really once I had it all done, it was quite simple.

Have you had to do your own bills yet?

Gormer Burger Kitchen Bath

So hi...
Now You may have read my last post explaining the removal of my cast and my going away to Bath for the rest of the week (I'm there currently) And as such I would be unable to post as I did not get the planned posts prepared in time
HOWEVER. I do have the blogspot app which I'm currently using, so I thought for the next few days I would do Snippets of the day,  Places we've eaten or visited, in detail as I plan to have a picture diary for Bath's adventures next Tuesday.
Today was the first day and after a long 3 hour trip we all got into the house, Natasha who is hosting us told us that we actually all have our own rooms for our stay which isnt something you expect when visiting other people.
After settling we decided to dine out at Gourmet Burger Kitchen ( Mini Review in bound )
I ordered the GBK Cheese and bacon burger without the dill pickle, with smoked Applewood cheese and an extra patty, partnered with a small skinny fries, Through the app students get 30% off their first order so all that cost me only £11, which I thought was pretty reasonable. The waiting time for the food was ridiculously short, This may have been due to the late time and lack in other customers but nevertheless impressive. The burgers looked heavenly and I am such a sucker for a good brioche bun. I couldnt actually eat the burger with the extra patty and so took a patty out to eat separate which was lovely, the cheese was perfectly melted and I felt there was just enough salad to compliment the juicy beef and bacon.
The chips definitely were skinny fries and reminded me of a cross between actually fries and the crisps french fries they were so skinny, They were gorgeous though and the small portion was just the right amount to satisfy the need for chips with a burger without overeating.
In terms of drinks I only got myself tap water as I wanted to save money but one part of me slightly regrets not getting a milkshake as some of the others ordered the Oreo milkshakes which were decently sized and looked/smelled like a milkshake of the gods.
And that's my mini review, A nice atmosphere and good music with quality food at a little more than average price, But the saying is you get what you pay for! the rest of the evening was spent relaxing and playing card games before retiring to bed, Which is where I find myself now writing this.
Tomorrow is set to be a long day, with an Investigation type Tourist visit and a house party to celebrate a birthday in the evening.
Hope you all find these mini posts acceptable as I really wanted to keep up with blogging, the quality will be slightly down due to the limitation of using only a phone for posts but I'll only write when I feel I have a topic.
Thats all for today! I'm dead.
NIGHT! See you all tomorrow!

Foot Freedom! BRB

So hi....

I may be breaking my August everyday blogging shindig. I was finally able to get my cast off Monday and it's amazing how much it's brightened my mood. It was just in time for my Birthday and for a huge number of plans and activities, so although I lost a whole month of my summer I still get to celebrate and enjoy my birthday and a friends and do a load of things.

I still have to wear a boot, but this can be taken on and off and I can actually walk on my foot without pain both when wearing the boot and when not. I'll not push my luck too much though, I wouldn't want to have 4 weeks of freedom just to end back into the cast.
ANYWAY on to blogging, I'm actually going away tomorrow (12th) Till Sunday (16th) and I won't have my laptop, as such I won't be active. Although I do have posts planned I will unfortunately miss out blogging on the 12th as I have yet to decide a post idea that I've liked and although I want to blog everyday I really don't want these posts to end up as random bad ideas posted just for the sake of getting a post up.
In total with my current planned posts I will only be missing around 4 days in August, but maybe I'll be blessed with creativity, which would be grand.

Honestly as well as making you all aware of my potential gaps in posting this month I also just wanted to share the happiness I'm currently feeling, I have the boot off now and the freedom feels so great, I had a warm bath and not having to awkwardly hang my leg out the bath was great. It's weird because I've felt annoying with how much I've talked about my broken foot but when you can't move and you can't even be independent. There's nothing else for you, your life is that broken bone, You're best topic of conversion is how long till it's gone and how you did it. It literally was in every aspect of life for the last 6 weeks, that's a long time, If I had broken this n high school it would have been my whole summer which used to feel so long.

Well if I don't see you in tomorrow's post don't miss me too much. BRB.

My New Home: Flat Tour.

So Hi..

On Saturday, Despite my cast I went up to Birmingham to collect the keys to my new flat and move in a few on my bits in to lessen the load when I move in properly. I was so excited, there's a completely different feel to seeing a place as apart of a viewing and then seeing the place as your own, you completely start to think what it will be like to live there and how everyday life will be like. I even started thinking about what I'd put where and how I'd decorate my room.  also got to get the okay sign from my dad who had yet to see the place. It's been so stressful house hunting we had a house then lost it and everything seemed to go wrong, so to now have a place where the contract is signed and in effect. It's a great feeling, The bills have also been a great stress but to have that also nearly done, I'm so happy.  Thought I would share my happiness with you all and show off the flat as it is. It's a little empty right now but once me and my friends move in I'm sure it will be full of life.

This is my room, which actually already looks pretty homely with the few things I brought in. There was 1 double and 2 singles in the flat, the friends I'm staying with are a couple so I decided it was nice to let them have the double bed, Aren't I a doll? I Really like this room though and the previous tenants left a desk and chair behind, bonus.
The one downside to my room is that it Doesn't have a long mirror which I'll definitely have to get, for personal use and how else will I get any outfit photos?
This is the bath room, to the left of the photo is a cool shower bit which is super nice looking, IT's a pretty clean and nice layout. there's a decent bit of storage ability as well so we can all have bath things in the bathroom without it looking cluttered.
Pretty standard here but the hallway from the front door which goes straight into the kitchen.
The front room is huge, and super fresh looking but as you can tell, it's empty! the Sofa was left and it's pretty nice, but I'm pretty sure we're be buying a dining set to put in here as well. I think we'll also be putting my wii and maybe xbox360 here so we can all relax and play games in here.

And finally the kitchen, it's a pretty big open space as well and beautifully designed, the dark wood on the white looks gorgeous, though I know we'll have to make a real effort to keep the white floors and surfaces clean, There's tons of space though, to the point I think there'll be too much for three people to use. Not that I'm complaining ,it's tons better than the small amount we had in the accommodation. There's also a washing machine and tumble dryer, woohooooo.

And that's my new flat! I'll be visiting it in a few weeks to celebrate my 20th birthday which I'm really looking forward to!

June Goals.

So hi...

Another list type post of thing I wanna achieve or make a more active effort to try do for the month of June. This does has some similar goals as my Summer goals because it is Summer for me now but I'll keep to the different ones.

Walk More.
Get out the House 3/4 Times a week at least.
Catch up on the Scrapbook.
Keep up the regular stream of blogging.
Practice Regular Sewing.
Practice Guitar and Piano (More for Whole Summer/Year).
Wake up Earlier (At least 9/10am).
Don't sit at the Computer for more than 4 hours at a time.
Practice my Make up application & experiment.

And Those are the few goals I have for June, A few of them are more to be started in the month of June and hopefully continued, Well most of them are those sorts of goals actually but yeah.

Do you have any set goals for the month of June?

Summer Clean Up!

So hi...

I'm comfortable back at home now, and as such I've been getting used to being in my old room again. The last week It's become a right state, due to a mixture of never being there ( eg grabbing or chucking stuff around then leaving) and trying to unpack everything. The First few days back I brought a load of my things up to unpack and ended up hardly unpacking them, so my room was covered in things. I've also had trouble refinding places for things, since I re arranged a lot of stuff to fit in my uni room they don't quite fit the same now i'm back home. It took a while to get the motivation, it was that thing where I had so much to do I just didn't know where to start and so avoided it. But It could not be avoided any long, and just over 2 hours later I had a pretty clean looking room. I still have clothes to unpack and sort through my draws but walking into my room, It looks pretty clean. So. how'd I go about it?

Tackling it in sections: This is a super big thing for me, Choosing little sections of my room to clear out made the whole job seems so much easier and manageable, for Example I chose to first sort out my make-up area/desk, then my wardrobe, then windowsill and so on and so forth. it meant that the room came together much faster than I expected because I didn't stress about the room as a whole looking messy.

Clearing the whole area and restarting: With each area of my Room i tackled I moved everything away from the area. for The most part I used my bed as a bit of a dumping ground, chucking everything on there before dusting and wiping down the area itself. This just allows me to focus on what I want to put where as the space is clear and de-cluttered and I can re-arrange and move around things as I want.

Clearing the things you don't need: I have to admit I'm a little bit of a hoarder, I hate throwing things away. Toys and teddies were things I never wanted to throw away before despite not touching them for about 9 years. I haven't dumped the teddies yet as they sit hidden in my top cupboard of my built in wardrobe, but I still had some old Polly pockets sitting on my window sill that just needed to go, My room looked a little childish with them sitting there. I also just clear and tidied a lot of other things which cluttered my room but I never actually used. It's great to now look around my room and feel like it looks that little more me and more adult like.

Those are probably the core things I did to help clear out my room. I still want to change a load of things about my room but all in due time I'm dying to completely redecorate my room, I'm not longer feeling the Hot pink feature wall that makes my room look super gloomy and tints the room in a horrible light! (Which you can probably tell from these photos). The light bulb in my room also is super orange, so I want to make that brighter and whiter. So Some of the changes I want to make are small and achievable over time, While others will be a long time yet. This may only be my room once again for 3 months but this is still my home. I'll always have this place to come back to from uni, So I should make sure it's a place that reflects me and makes me feel comfortable.

Any tips or things you do to help yourself get things done (particularly cleaning?)

Urban Decay Summer Launches Event.

So hi...

Last Sunday I was lucky enough to attend a bloggers event at the urban decay counter in Selfridges, Birmingham. The event was to show off the new products that Urban decay has released as apart of their summer collection. It was a small event with Kirsty, who works at the counter hosting, which she did immensely well with. Now I suppose I should get n with telling you all about the products.

The First Products we were showed were The new Revolution lip gloss collection, with 14 shades in the whole collection. Now I'll be honest here, I'm not a lip gloss kinda girl. I find most the time the colour to be weak and the texture of stickyness uncomfortable on my lips, I do however own an odd few with passed the test. These definitely feel like they could pass the test as well, Firstly the colours are amazingly sharp and bright, the coour in the bottle is what you'll be getting on your lips which is a super big plus for me. I also like the choice in the collection, if you had the whole collection I doubt you'd need many more lip gloss choices if you life as it has all the base colours you could want from peachy nude right through to a range of purples. They are £15 each, pretty good price, even for a pauper like me. Quite interested in getting the bright orange and bright purple colours.
In the madness of everyone trying to swatch and test out the products I managed to grab a few from some swatches, just to show what I mean when I said the colours are strong and as vivid as in the packaging.
 Kinky// Liar// Failbait// Savage//Scandal// Quiver// Assassin//Punch Drunk // 69// Brickhouse// Bittersweet// Vice// Acopolyse// Big Bang

The next Product were shown was The Vault. This was one hell of a box set.

Now you probably remember the Vault set which contained basically everything you could want from urban decay. This new set is Exclusive to the Urban Decay in Selfridges Birmingham and is all about the lips. With 10 lip liners accompanied by 10 matching Lipsticks it's quite the dream.
It's got a price tag of £180, But is worth over £300, so it's a pretty damn good bargain. I'm tempted myself to get it, since ya know, lips are my thaang when it comes to make up.

The last product we were allowed to swatches and get our hands on was the new range of single Blushers released. The Afterglow 8-hour powder blush. Retailing at £19 each and with a wide range of colours from bright pinks and purple to the more subtle peachy colours. There are 12 shades in the collection in total.

I tried to get swatches of all 12 shades to show the colour pay out with one swipe on my arm, It's definitely a nice range of different colours, I found the purple really interesting, a novice like me could never make purple blush look good, I'm sure many other people do though.

After we were allowed to wander the counter generally and snap away at the pretty arrangement of the products.

Many of the other girls bought a few things, which my poor self couldn't do unfortunately. I did get a little tester of their foundation as I'm looking to invest in a really good foundation for myself. After everyone had finished looking round we were given a little goody bag of testers and all parted ways. It was a really enjoyable event, Kirsty really made it feel comfortable and enjoyable.

Have you bought or seen the new Summer collection products from Urban Decay yet?
