Lifestyle - Cooking: Pizza Pasta Bake.

So hi...

Cooking man that thing you gotta do to eat and live and shit. I quite like that thing. It's a bit of a pain sometimes when you're living away from home as a student and all you want is a good homemade meal from mum or dad because you don't have the energy to make it yourself...
so you settle for oven chips and chicken dippers instead...

Yeah that's a sad time.
But in general I really enjoy cooking and baking. Me and my cousin used to go crazy with baking when we were younger and now he's a chef in training, Makes me feel proud. Now I'n not that great at cooking but you know, most thing I make comes out tasty pretty damn good, and I have yet to have a disaster meal even while experimenting.

Now leading on from that, I love pizza, It's possibly my favourite food, although chinese fights pizza constantly over that decision. At home I didn't really have pizza often which made me sad, now at Uni I get to have it whenever I want (Whether takes takeaway: Dom you bae. Or a £1 pizza from morrisons) But sometimes I like to get experimental with it. and that idea lead to this.

Pizza Pasta Bake!BAM.

Does that not sound like heavenly goodness? I thought of it while cooking pasta for lunch and googled for recipes with little results, How was this not on buzzfeed yet? So I decided to yolo it and try to make it myself, and here is the results. Let me tell you it went pretty successfully.
Ingredients:
Pasta
Chopped tomatoes
tomato puree
basil and any seasoning of choice
Pepperoni slices
normal cheese of choice
Mozzarella
Okay so it's pretty damn simple to make this.

First I part boiled the pasta, then drained and added the chopped tomatoes and put straight back onto the hob. This is where you can add any seasoning and extras if you want, I just cut up some pepperoni and added it in.
Let all that simmer and cook for a few minutes ( I left it for around 10). While that's simmering you can grate and slice your cheeses and turn on your oven to warm up.
After the 10 minutes take it off and pour it into your tray of choice. I used a small cake tine as I wasn't making a huge batch since I only cook for me and this was an experiment.
You can then top your pasta with your grated cheese followed by pepperoni slices and finally topped with the mozzarella.
Pop this into the oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the top is melted golden goodness.

You can then serve up with a big spoon and cry happy tears and the goodness. You are welcome.

Have you heard of this before? Or have any other recipes for me to try?

Visual Mood Boards: Food.

So hi...

Another Mood board for you all today, with the topic of food. This is a great way to inspire me to remember to eat as well and as healthy as I can, using fresh ingredients, though there is the odd burger, it's all about balance and sometimes it's nice to treat yourself to a meal out or something a little more fatty or sugary than normal.
Once again I'm using he Niice app as it's the easiest way to search and collect images online I've found, but I do have a little collage of some meals I make for myself as well.

10 Healthy (ish) Dinners

So hi...

Bit late with this post but as I mentioned life has very much got in the way! My Birthday meant I tried to get out often and wasn't home much and when I was I was too tired to write, But to make up for that I will be trying to daily post in September, but no promises, this blog as much as I love it, is just a hobby and sometimes other life aspects come first. But it's all to make sure I experience what I can of life!
To the more important thing... Food. More Importantly ,healthy-ish dinners that I like to have.

1.Roast- One of my most favourite dinners, I wish my family had Sunday roasts because I never get bored of it! you can change up a roast as well, with more veg to make it a little healthier.

2. Homemade burgers- If you make sure to get lean mince this can be healthier, plus I actually love to have homemade burgers with salad and fried mushrooms onions and peppers, no bun needed, though if you did add a bun and some cheese, no one would blame you!

3. Stir fry- You gotta love a good stir fry, you can mix it up so much and add loads of veg or whatever meat you want, it's super versatile and tasty.

4. Peppers onion spinach potato & Fried egg- This is one of my absolute favourite meals after my flatmate Becky made me this, I know it has a name but I don't know it, I just love it, you fry everything together including thin potato slices and then top it with a boiled egg. perfect.

5. Seasoned Roasted chicken with tomatoes spinach and sweet potato- A super simple one but it's quick it works and you can change up the dish by adding flavours to the chicken.

6. Fish butter sauce bake- This was my own creation to use stuff up, but when I remade it I perfected it slightly, So it's basically salmon (Or any fish of your choice) fried and seasoned, I like to make the fish sweet chili flavoured, I then add a load of Veg, Such as carrot and broccoli and whatever else you want, I then make a butter sauce and add some pepper and salt for flavour then top with potato and bake in the oven, so good.

7. Chicken & potato Curry- Homemade curry is so good, I made it for the first time last year and it's great because you can make t as hot or mild as you want and add what you want, I love chicken and potato curry.

8. Fajitas- Another one of my favourite meals, This can be changed up as well, I like to have chicken fajitas but you could definitely have a veggie fajita.

9. Pasta and sauce with toppings of choice!- A super student one here, basically a chuck it whatever you have with some pasta and tomato sauce, simple, empties out your fridge and usually tastes pretty good.

10. 'Pizza' salad and wedges- So unfortunately, pizza isn't very healthy but you can make 'mock' pizza which is a little bit better, I like to make them with wraps, bit of tomato puree, some cheese and toppings, lovely, and to serve with It's quite nice to have salad and homemade seasoned wedges.

10 healthy (ish) Lunches

So hi...

Second of the foodie posts! This time it's 10 lunches I enjoy, and again they are healthyish, as there are exception because I like not so healthy food, but I think that's pretty normal so it's cool.

1. Smokey Red lentil soup- This is my best soup ever. Me and my mum made this a while back and we wondered what made it so smokey and realized it was from using smoked paprika and I'm so glad we did, it's the perfect lunch with some super fresh bread. Yum.

2. Rivita with chili cheese & ham with salad- This is a lighter lunch and one I had many a time between uni lectures, Recently I've been using sweet chili philly instead of the actual chili cheese but it's still just as good. ( you may have noticed I included this in the breakfasts post with poached egg instead, but ya know, it's good stuff.

3. Ham salad sandwich- Super simple one but some good ham slices with lettuce and any other salad choices and a blob of mayo, so fresh tasting and easy to make.

4.Baked potato and Filling- This can be made healthier or unhealthy with what fillings you use, It's quite nice with some tuna mayo for lunch, I personally think cheese and beans is more a dinner thing.

5. Cheese on toast- Super unhealthy but some times there's nothing better than some good old cheese on toast and a splash of tomato sauce.

6. Egg & chicken Sweet chili salad- Best salad I ever made was a salad with spinach fried onions tomatoes and lettuce with garlic and herb sauce then topped with egg and chicken with sweet chili dressing, the dressing isn't too bad but not great either. I love them though.

7. Scrambled egg mixed with spinach & salmon- This is a super health lunch, you could also swap what you have, so maybe ham slices instead of salmon or add avocado as well, but scrambled egg is lush and spinach makes it all that much better.

8.Fill it your way wrap- Wraps are pretty damn good. and often easy to make, for lunches I tend to not have anything hot in a wrap except maybe warm up some chicken, but often will have salad with a bit of mayo then ham or chicken or turkey and mix a little bbq sauce, the mix of health crunchy from the salad with the naughty taste of bbq sauce is heavenly.

9. Tuna & sweet corn pasta- Super simple, super filling. Yum Tuna with a little mayo and a load of sweetcorn mixed in with freshly cooked pasta. not much else to say really. it's a good'un.

10. Fruit Bowl- Another lighter lunch and easily could be breakfast as well, but a big bowl of your favourite fruits with a little yogurt is lovely and fresh, you could also sprinkle a few nuts or a little granola of top for extra crunch.

What are your favourite lunches to enjoy?

10 healthy (ish) Breakfasts!

So hi...

Bit of a different post here but I've mentioned on my twitter that I'd love to slowly incorporate foodie posts into my blog and as it already has small aspects of fashion and lifestyle as well as beauty, why not? It is my little space of the internet after all.

So today I thought I'd give my top 10 healthy (ish) breakfasts that  love to have! as I haven't been able to make these dishes recently due to my broken foot I haven't been able to get photographs but I'll definitely do a little round up recipe post with photos and how I made them all! I'll be putting up my top 10 lunches and dinners as well!

1.Porridge & fruit (I also love peanut butter with it)- Super simple, super easy and you can change up the flavours and toppings almost endlessly, I always find porridge super filling as well.
2. Museli- Pretty similar to porridge in you can really change up the flavours but also just as tasty, I see it as the cold alternative to porridge
3. Weebatix- Sometimes all you fancy is some cereal, I love weetabix for this as it's quite nutritious. I love topping it with honey
4. 'Healthy' Fry up- Now this is probably the worst on the list but there are loads of way you can change up a fry up to make it better for you, such a grilling instead of frying, and using alternatives to fatty oils, you can also add more salad or veg to the fry up, such as a side salad or avocado, delicious
5. Fruit (& Veg) Smoothies - Another endless option, you can make so many different kinds of fruit or green smoothies t make different flavours, I like spinach or kale with strawberries as the main flavours!
6. Banana Pancakes - These are so easy and tasty, egg and banana to make pancakes? who could complain, I love fruit and honey with these!
7.Crumpet topped with Peanut butter and banana - This was an idea I seen on a meal plan and I actually really enjoyed it, warm crumpet with melty peanut butter and banana is just such a good combination
8. Egg Spinach & tomatoes Dippy Thing ( I don't think it really has a name) - I seen this thing around the internet for a while and recently in beautycrush's video! but It's a super interesting and flavourful breakfast and perfect to dip some fresh bread in, you can also mix up the flavours and add things into it.
9. Rivita And Poached egg (Or others etc) - You could definitely add different toppings on your rivta like avocado or my personal favourite (next to poached egg) is a bit of philly cream cheese with a slice of ham.
10. Veggie omelette - It doesn't have to be a veggie omelette but it's that little bit healthier, plus veggie omelette is actually pretty nice and can be easily flavoured with spices.

And those are my top kinda healthy breakfasts that I love to have! Look forward to amazing photos and how I make these soon! As well as 10 lunches an 10 dinners I love!
