St. Patricks Day Make-up!

So hi...

A day early with this one but I'll be having a OOTD post for paddy's day itself so look forward to that!
So paddy's day is something I tend to celebrate big, I have a lot of Irish in my mums side of the family and as long as I can remember everyone was out and about together for paddy's day. There's a lot of fond memories for me. Last year I was gutted to not do anything for paddy's day as I still had Uni, But this year I'll be in Ireland in the middle of Dublin for Paddy's day with family and friends and I can't wait, What better way to spend St. Patricks day!
As such I thought I would do a little showcase of what I'll be wearing on my face for paddy's day, well the part the makes it themed anyway.
So without meaning to I ended up using mainly Make-up Revolution Products. My base I used all my normal products that I would use daily, which I'll probably do an updated post on soon so be ready for that!
The main product I used was then the Acid brights palette, using the greens white and Orange as the Main look was to do two little irish flags on my eye lids, I also used two single Makeup revolution shadows in Temtpress and Frozen for underneath the eyes and a little of frozen over top of the white.

Here's a little swatch card to see what all the colours look off the skin. To Accompany the eyes I decided on this pretty coral coloured lipstick from Miss sporty, which I can't even tell you the shade name as the label has rubbed off. My bad!

These were pretty much perfect to create a super nice look, I then put gel black liner in a thin line over top, cause girl I love my cat flick.

And here's the finished look! Honestly I probably won't be able to make it look this good on the actual day as I'll be flying and also travelling alone I feel a bit silly dressed up ready to go out, Even though I shouldn't. I might just stop being a coward and just wear it from start to end.

Are you doing anything for St.Patricks day?

Beauty: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum.

So hi...

So while in Bath (I know mentioning it again) I done a small amount of shopping which included a new foundation, as much as I loved the urban decay sample I had, it's finally run out after using it for a good couple of weeks. So I was due a new foundation, and not being able to afford the full sized urban decay foundation meant trying out a new high street offering, after looking around Superdrug I picked up 2, Collections foundation ( Which I realized I picked up in the wrong colour, damn it) and the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in Vanille Clair.

The Bourjois Serum has been quite agreeable, it's the right colour for a start, you think at 20 I'd know my own skin tone properly. Anyway, it also is a nice consistence and goes onto my skin smoothly. It doesn't feel too heavy and lasts a relatively long time before my grim oily combination skin starts to poke through.

I'd seen the healthy mix serum floating around the blogging world for a while and heard nothing but good from it but I'm a poor student and I like to take minimal risks when it comes to purchasing base products, because it's unlikely I'll be able to purchase more for a decent time after, the only reason I bt the bullet this time was the feeling of being on holiday and having a decent amount of birthday money of me meant I felt a little more willing to spend, and boy I'm glad I was, this doesn't feel quite as great and covering as the urban decay offering but it'll be a good in between till I get my hands on that little gem.

Have you made any slightly on impulse beauty purchases recently?

Coloured Liner.

So hi...

When it comes to eye liner I've always gone for good old black, except the little exception of a white pencil for underneath the eye. But n terms of eyeliner for the top and my usual wing I've always gone with the normal black liner whether it was pen or gel or liquid.
HOWEVER. while in superdrug (just before the broken foot!) I was looking for my collection extreme liner as it's my old faithful for eyeliner but there was no black! There was however other colours, two of which caught my eye. So here I am with two different coloured eyeliner pens and I'm going to show them off too you.

The two colours that caught my eye was a bright turquoise/green purple and a purple colour, It helps that the collection extreme felt tip liners are only £3/4 each so it wouldn't be breaking the bank if i didn't like either colour.
So the green colour is definitely my favourite out of the two, I find it matches really well to my eye colour and makes them pop, which is awesome, it's also got super staying power. twice the amount of the black version.
The purple is also super pretty looking, It's a pretty colour and I definitely think I'd use it along with the black version to add colour, such as a smokey eye for a night out then a swipe of the purple under a black liner, I think it'd look super cool.

Have you ever adventured into the realm of coloured eyeliners? any colour suggestions.

Those Unusual Lip colours.

So hi

So when you think lipsticks and colours the most common to think of is shades of red and pink as well as nudes and then  berry shades. dark purple shades have also become pretty common place to appear upon the lips. But there are some lip colours that are straight up a little peculiar. I own a few such colours, Most from Make-up revolution as it was a set of 5 for £4 and I decided to get the set despite there strange vibrant tones. So lets go through them.

The first shade I have although is purple it's a little brighter than the typical purple shades you see around, This shade is called Depraved and although strange I could see people wearing it out, I'm not sure how great it would look however. As you can tell the payout is decent but not strong enough, I spent about 5 minutes trying to cover my lips completely and as you can tell it didn't completely work.

The Most 'normal' or common colour in this little showcase, this shade is called Vice and is a super bright very true orange, dfferent from the orangey toned reds you see around and with it a little more difficult to wear, The colour pay out is slightly better and a little stronger pigmented. It's also the smoothest to apply.
With the colour pigment and pay out of them all is this yellow shade called Felony which although looks super bright in the bullet has almost no actually colour, I can't ever imagine being able to wear this out and looking acceptable.
And lastly is this pale icy blue shade called Immoral. I thought this would be the worst one but I don't actually hate it, The color payout is actually pretty good. I could only see myself wearing this as apart of a cosplay or Halloween outfit such as the Ice witch from Narnia or something.

Do you own as super unusual lip colours?

Current Summer FOTD

So Hi...

In Summer I feel like most people change up their make up a little bit, with the heat it's often not ideal to have a full face of make-up that feels like it could melt off your face at any moment, so not attractive. I'm no exception to this, although the changes I've made to my daily make-up are a mixture of the change in weather and a gain of products. Though tweaks still need to be made I'm becoming more and more content with my make-up application and skills. Anyway I thought I would just list the product's I'm using for my day to day Summer make-up with some selfies showing it off at the end!
Lets start with the base, I use the Make-up Revolution ultra all day primer balm first along with the Make-up Revolution eye primer to help keep my make-up on, which is especially needed in the added heat. Concealer of choice at the moment is the MUA hide and conceal stick. I'm out of collections lasting perfection concealer and have yet to find it restocked and not open in my shade, the struggles.  I unfortunately don't have a full bottle of foundation as I've been using a tester bottle of Urban Decay's Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup in 0.5 as picked for me at the urban decay event I went to a while back ( Read Here!) I'm absolutely loving it and definitely going to look into getting myself a full bottle. I'm also getting into Bronzer a little now and use the MUA Bronzer in shade 1. And Powder is the forever faithful Rimmel stay matte.
Now for Eyes. I've recently been quite loyal to this Go! palette from Make-up Revolution for my eye shadow, I love the pink toned colours and the range which means I can go super pale and neutral one day and smokey dark another. The curlers are standard own branded ones from Superdrug as I've never really used curlers and wanted to test them out. For eye liner my top favourite is the Collection extreme 24 hour felt tip liner, it's easy to control and gives such good colour pigment off. I own about 4 of these in different colours now. for mascara I don't really have one that I specifically use daily, I have about 4/5 I tend to swap between. At the moment though I'm been loving Soap & glory Thick and Fast, it does what it says and really thickens the lashes. In terms of pencils again I'm not really too fussy and have a number of pencils from different brands, I've recently bought this gorgeous green eye pencil from MUA however and it's a lovely colour that adds a pop and I feel really brings out the green tones in my eyes.

That just about sums up my summer FOTD, the lip colours change daily depending on my mood or the event so I didn't include those.
What's your Summer FOTD Products? any particular look your loving?

A week or so in make-up 3#

So hi...

Once again been a while, rather than forgetting to photograph like with the outfits, I've just straight up been not wearing make-up all that much, or not enough to be worthy of photographing. Think I'm finally progressing with my make-up though which makes me happy, let me know if you agree or not?

Make-up Revolution Haul Part 3

So hi..

Last part of my Make-up revolution haul today! I ordered a lot of stuff didn't I... The total was about £40? but I just couldn't help myself. Today's part is showing off the little Spring collection pack I bought which was half price at £10 and came with a load of different products. I missed spring a little bit to wear it but I'll definitely be using all these in Summer, especially with the Spring like weather we've been having in England recently

The first product in the collection are the Vivid Blush lacquer in 'heat'. This will be super interesting to try out as I'm usually a powder blush kinda girl, I've not had much practice or trials with creme blush let alone a lacquer, I think I'll be very very carefully when trying to apply this. Another interesting product is this kohl crayon. The packaging of this is so strange and intriguing, I think i'll like using this for messy smudgy liner and under the eyes.
Next was this eye primer, which I actually over-looked when I ordered. So when I actually seen it I was pleasantly surprised. It's made to (Obviously) Prime the eyes but it also says that it's usable on it's own as it as a faint colour pigment. Though this does made me wonder whether this pigment could effect the colours and look of shadows put on top of this primer, but we'll see.
A mascara also came in the set which is good as I have been wanting to up the amount of mascaras in my collection so I can experiment a little more. This one has a plastic brush which is says allows for longer nicer looking lashes. It's nice and simple looking and the brush it quite standard, I have yet to try it out but soon!
I also Got this Go! Palette which is the description on the site, claimed to be for contours, But on the back it shows to have both contour elements (blush, highlight, bronzer) as well as some Eye-shadows at the bottom. These all looks quite nice in colour and I think I can actually use them for my skin tone which  is always a bonus.
Now here is the eye shadows, The style of the Go to hell Palette is very cool looking and it has a lot of options for looks, They are all quite dark and I imagine more for night out looks but I'm looking forward to creating dark and smokey eyes with this.
And The Last Product in the Spring collection is the I heart make up wonder palette. It has a few more brighter colours than the Go to hell palette but definitely see this for summer, it feel like I could really get creative with some bright and summery looks with this palette. It has some nice browns ans neutral colours as well which is nice

And We've done it! Reached the end of my whole Haul from Make-up Revolution, all three posts worth. I'm already testingq and trying out a lot of these products and no complaints so far, I'll definitely be doing some looks using only make up revolution products since ive gone and bought so much now.
Have you made any beauty Purchases recently? Any recommendations?

Make-up Revolution Haul Part 2

So Hi...

Part 2 of my Make-up Revolution Haul today and this is a pretty small one, and it also has a little bit of a theme to it. All base related products aiming to improve mover all make-up application.

The first purchases I made is the Pro-face mini brush set. These are pretty adorable little face brushes. I went for the mini set purely because it was cheaper and I personally don't mind working with slightly smaller brushes. The brushes themselves feel lovely and soft and I now want a little candle holder or something to use as a little brush holder for them that can sit next to the bigger brushes.
As well as the mini set I also bought a normal sized brush. I bought the F101 Face brush, just because I don't really have any brushes I feel are really suited for foundation application and It's about time I got one, It's a pretty looking brush and feels super soft and if we get along I may have to purchase a few more brushes from Make up Revolution but we'll see.

The other two products I got are both dedicated to making my make-up last longer and hopefully look better overall. the Pro Fix Spray is something I've been wanting for a while, but so far it has always been sold out in Superdrug. I'm gutted to say that this product was leaking when it arrived so I'm missing half the product but I am waiting for a reply from Make up Revolution about this. But I'm really excited about using it. I also got thr Ultra all day prime and anti-shine balm which I have high hopes for, especially with the anti-shine part. I always feel like my face looks shiny, It's a major issue of mine and although it probably doesn't look anywhere near as bad as I think it's still an issue. So I'm hoping this product will lessen the shine factor and give me a few extra hours of wear for my make-up.

And those are the odd bit's I got in my huge Make-up revolution haul, The biggie is going to be in part 3 with the spring collection set.

Make up Revolution Haul Part 1

So hi...

It's another haul... I'm bad I know! but with student finance and only having 6 weeks at uni I have a lot of spare money which would usually be spent towards food that I treated myself with! ( Last 2 hauls: Superdrug and Primark) This is Make-up Revolution haul and as you can tell by the title, it won't be the only one! I've broken the haul up into three bits.
This part one is showing off the the #Liphug collections, I bought the Reds collection and the Nudes collection,
The Second part will be the odd other bits I've bought including some brushes! (Which will be up Wednesday 14th)
And the final third one is the little Spring collection deal which I bought which had a variety of products. (That'll be up Thursday 18th)
So a lot of hauls up for you guys, which I hope you don't mind, I personally love haul posts, they are quite possibly my favourite type of posts. Hopefully you guys like them too!
Anyway lets get on with it!

So The LipHug Collection include 5 lipsticks in each set and I believe there were 3 sets? I don't know but I remember seeing the nudes, reds and pinks in the sets. I got these two for £7.50 each down from £12.50 which is a pretty good price. The packaging is really pretty looking and so are the lipsticks, very sophisticated looking with the gold.

Left to Right: Saviour will come// I am ready! // Still missing my baby// Who we are!// To get lucky
So the Reds #liphug collection, The collection has a nice little variety of colours from true reds to very dark burgundy tinted colours, Pretty sure these 5 will be my go to for nights out this Summer.
Left to Right: Insatiable// I think you're amazing// When you came to me// Not giving up// Save me from yourself//
The nudes also have a nice variety in shades, I like that they are pinky toned manly as I have pinky natural lips so super pale nudes tend to wash me out a bit and end up looking like I have no lips, The colours are all super nice and I like the idea of wearing these on hot summer days where I'm not feeling to much make-up but want to look a little bit dressed up.

Topshop Lips

So hi...

Topshop Make up has always been something I've adored from afar but never couldn't the plunge and actually gone and bought. I'd always see the gorgeous looking packages and good reviews of the make-up range from other bloggers but couldn't justify the prices. £8 for a lipstick when there are £1 alternatives? Madness for a stingy student like me. However while wondering after my flatmates as they showed about topshop, I stood in front of the lipsticks, allowing myself a few innocent swatches. then before I knew it I had picked up two shades and they were already paid for. I just couldn't help myself and thought I would invest in a little better quality make up for once! And well, here we are!

The First shade that spark my interest was a bright orangey toned red shade called 'head rush' I surprisingly don't owe a orange toned red and just immediately liked the colour as soon as I swatched it. this love was reinforced once I decided to wear in out that night. Such a stunning bold colour that I think suits me rather well!

The other shade I picked up was called ' Brighton Rock' and is a super bright true pink. I chose this as I feel like I don't usually get along with lipsticks, I always find fault in them but I really actually like this colour, it feel like the perfect pink to me and I'm looking forward to wearing it on bright summer days when I'm feeling extra bold.
I'm thinking of maybe treating myself to a good nail varnish next time I find myself in topshop. that polka dot packaging is just too cute.
Whats your favourite Topshop Makeup product if you have one? let me know down in the comments below!

The Whole Make-up collection: Nails.

So hi...

LAst post of my whole make-up collection series today and it's a biggie! Talking nails today and I have a fair few of nail polishes, because of this I'll be listing the shades from each brand! You may also notice I have a lot of greens blues reds and purples for nails, i don't mean to I don't tend up picking those shades and colours up..
First I'll get the nail remover out the way, just two of these. First is the superdrug's own brand nail polish which I use with cotton pads, nice and simple. Second is for the laziest of the lazy! From primark's beauty range is the very convenient twist pot. It's so easy, out your finger in and twist, you do have to have for finger in there a while but still the easiest option for now.

Anyhow Let's get on with the actual nail polishes now, starting with the brand I own the most of, which unsurprisingly is MUA, £1 nail polish just can't be laughed at, it last about 4-5 days with 2-3 coats and no base or top coat so can probably last at least a week if you went the whole way with base and top coat.
MUA, Left to Right:
Fever Red
Sweet Peach
Lush Lilac
Plum Noir
Pitch Black
Pistachio Ice Cream
Strawberry Crush
Mud Pie
Koala Bear
Moody Mink
Leapfrog
All Nude
Bright Coral
Bold Blue
Ultramarine
And lastly from MUA is the super strength polish base coat.

The next brand Is PS beauty from Primark, I have a lot of these as they do little mini sets of 4 polishes for £1, that 25p per nail varnish.

Unfornunately the primark polishes don't have shade names of their packaging but I own a blue set of 4 and a red set. I also own two of their single pots which are £1 each, one is a gorgeous sky blue colour and the other is a gorgeous sparkly purply tinted burgundy colour.
I have one more nail varnish from Primark which came from a nail set with this polish and glitter, I wasn't fond of the glitter though so I like to wear this lilac grey colour on it's own, very minimal and pretty.

Those two are my biggest collection, after these it's just very random polishes I've picked up or gotten as a present.
Miss Sporty.
Miss Sporty also don't have shades on their bottles but I have a clear polishes a perfect green turquoise colour and a very bright bold blue colour.
Next I own three shades from Matalan which I'm pretty sure I got from my mother as she's the only person in my family that shops there! these were in a set as a Christmas present I'm pretty sure, You might be able to guess but they also do not name separate names to their shades. So I have a pretty golden colour, a dark shimmery red and a very strange muddy brown/ nude colour which is pretty nice on the nails.

So now we're on to the singles, I have one from Technics which is a super dark blue colour.
And Lastly is a nail polish from colourworks, which I don't actually know where I've gotten it from, but it's an orangey pink colour.

And so this mini series comes to a end. Did you enjoy seeing all my beauty products?
