Co-ords heaven.

So hi...

This was supposed to be more of a co-ords set, but has ended up being co-ords from boohoo! But I can't help what I like!
I absolutely love the idea of co-ords, you buy basically 2 pieces of clothes that look good together but can easily be mixed and matched around. What's not to love? I have been a little catious about buying any for myself because of my size but I've be losing and as apart of my august aims (Read them here) I want to be more confident! and change my wardrobe, so buying clothes I like and rocking then is kinda two birds with one stone.

Coloured Liner.

So hi...

When it comes to eye liner I've always gone for good old black, except the little exception of a white pencil for underneath the eye. But n terms of eyeliner for the top and my usual wing I've always gone with the normal black liner whether it was pen or gel or liquid.
HOWEVER. while in superdrug (just before the broken foot!) I was looking for my collection extreme liner as it's my old faithful for eyeliner but there was no black! There was however other colours, two of which caught my eye. So here I am with two different coloured eyeliner pens and I'm going to show them off too you.

The two colours that caught my eye was a bright turquoise/green purple and a purple colour, It helps that the collection extreme felt tip liners are only £3/4 each so it wouldn't be breaking the bank if i didn't like either colour.
So the green colour is definitely my favourite out of the two, I find it matches really well to my eye colour and makes them pop, which is awesome, it's also got super staying power. twice the amount of the black version.
The purple is also super pretty looking, It's a pretty colour and I definitely think I'd use it along with the black version to add colour, such as a smokey eye for a night out then a swipe of the purple under a black liner, I think it'd look super cool.

Have you ever adventured into the realm of coloured eyeliners? any colour suggestions.

Current Summer FOTD

So Hi...

In Summer I feel like most people change up their make up a little bit, with the heat it's often not ideal to have a full face of make-up that feels like it could melt off your face at any moment, so not attractive. I'm no exception to this, although the changes I've made to my daily make-up are a mixture of the change in weather and a gain of products. Though tweaks still need to be made I'm becoming more and more content with my make-up application and skills. Anyway I thought I would just list the product's I'm using for my day to day Summer make-up with some selfies showing it off at the end!
Lets start with the base, I use the Make-up Revolution ultra all day primer balm first along with the Make-up Revolution eye primer to help keep my make-up on, which is especially needed in the added heat. Concealer of choice at the moment is the MUA hide and conceal stick. I'm out of collections lasting perfection concealer and have yet to find it restocked and not open in my shade, the struggles.  I unfortunately don't have a full bottle of foundation as I've been using a tester bottle of Urban Decay's Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup in 0.5 as picked for me at the urban decay event I went to a while back ( Read Here!) I'm absolutely loving it and definitely going to look into getting myself a full bottle. I'm also getting into Bronzer a little now and use the MUA Bronzer in shade 1. And Powder is the forever faithful Rimmel stay matte.
Now for Eyes. I've recently been quite loyal to this Go! palette from Make-up Revolution for my eye shadow, I love the pink toned colours and the range which means I can go super pale and neutral one day and smokey dark another. The curlers are standard own branded ones from Superdrug as I've never really used curlers and wanted to test them out. For eye liner my top favourite is the Collection extreme 24 hour felt tip liner, it's easy to control and gives such good colour pigment off. I own about 4 of these in different colours now. for mascara I don't really have one that I specifically use daily, I have about 4/5 I tend to swap between. At the moment though I'm been loving Soap & glory Thick and Fast, it does what it says and really thickens the lashes. In terms of pencils again I'm not really too fussy and have a number of pencils from different brands, I've recently bought this gorgeous green eye pencil from MUA however and it's a lovely colour that adds a pop and I feel really brings out the green tones in my eyes.

That just about sums up my summer FOTD, the lip colours change daily depending on my mood or the event so I didn't include those.
What's your Summer FOTD Products? any particular look your loving?

My Favourite Summer clothes.

So hi

Showcase type of post today! Showing off my favourite clothes which I'll be wearing the most this summer. Unfortunately I have a super small collection of summery clothes but I have savings so Shopping trip may be in order once I return back to the home town (it's Luton if ya didn't know) But anyway, these are my pretty clothes that I like, yay.

This first dress is very holiday for me, It's the sort of dress I'd only wear in the dead middle of Summer where it's really hot and warm. I think I may have bought this for a holiday a while back. It's super colourful compared to the rest of my wardrobe but I do still love it.

This next dress is actually my favourite dress that I own if I'm honest. I love the print and the lace on the top, even the cut is perfect. It's just the perfect style for my personal tastes and I back still wear it in winter with tights boots and a scarf which is a bonus!
This dress is super duper girly, It has layers underneath and it's very flowy and cute, I got this one from Clothesminded and I'm pretty sure it wasn't more than £10. I think it was £6/£8 IT has a nice cut like the last one and it's got a very cute but grown up looking floral pattern.

The last thing one is a play-suit and it's started a little bit of an obsession where I really want a whole load of play-suits. This is similar to my favourite dress in pattern. It's simplistic, not too much floral and it sits so nicely I feel. And cause it's a play-suit I can feel completely comfortable which is a little more annoying with a dress.

Make-up Revolution Haul Part 2

So Hi...

Part 2 of my Make-up Revolution Haul today and this is a pretty small one, and it also has a little bit of a theme to it. All base related products aiming to improve mover all make-up application.

The first purchases I made is the Pro-face mini brush set. These are pretty adorable little face brushes. I went for the mini set purely because it was cheaper and I personally don't mind working with slightly smaller brushes. The brushes themselves feel lovely and soft and I now want a little candle holder or something to use as a little brush holder for them that can sit next to the bigger brushes.
As well as the mini set I also bought a normal sized brush. I bought the F101 Face brush, just because I don't really have any brushes I feel are really suited for foundation application and It's about time I got one, It's a pretty looking brush and feels super soft and if we get along I may have to purchase a few more brushes from Make up Revolution but we'll see.

The other two products I got are both dedicated to making my make-up last longer and hopefully look better overall. the Pro Fix Spray is something I've been wanting for a while, but so far it has always been sold out in Superdrug. I'm gutted to say that this product was leaking when it arrived so I'm missing half the product but I am waiting for a reply from Make up Revolution about this. But I'm really excited about using it. I also got thr Ultra all day prime and anti-shine balm which I have high hopes for, especially with the anti-shine part. I always feel like my face looks shiny, It's a major issue of mine and although it probably doesn't look anywhere near as bad as I think it's still an issue. So I'm hoping this product will lessen the shine factor and give me a few extra hours of wear for my make-up.

And those are the odd bit's I got in my huge Make-up revolution haul, The biggie is going to be in part 3 with the spring collection set.

The Whole Make-up Collection: Eyes

So hi...

Now I've already covered eye-shadows in this series but now it's time to discuss the products only second in my hearts to lipstick: Eye-liners and mascara! I love a good eyeliner and I barely ever leave the house/flat without a cat flick donning my eyelids. It's just totally my thaaang and I love it. As such a have a few options for when I wanna get experimental or change it up.

So Let's discuss the mascaras first. I currently only own three as I've chucked a few out because they dried out etc. The front one I have is the Soap and glory Thick and fast mascara and its probably the least used, It's not like it's a bad mascara, I actually quite like it, but it just doesn't do as good a job as the other two that I currently use and own, I do use it as an under layer quite often however with one of the other two over the top. The middle one is the Loreal Miss manga mascara which is probably my favourite, it's quite an odd bendy brush but it gives such volume and wow factor to your eyes, the name suits it well. Lastly is one from Rimmel which I actually got from my dad as he keeps an eye liner and mascara in his car for us daughters and decided to give me this one to replace another. It's the Wow extra lash mascara, and work really well, It gives volume and separates the lashes quite nicely
Now for my actual favourite the liquid liners. I have 2 liners from primark which is their pot liqud liner on the right corner and the pen liner in the middle, I've written about them before and previously not liked them but I most often reach for the pot liner for my everyday flick and it's actually been fine. The liner at the front is the loreal superliner which I've seen here and there in the blogging world and although a few months back it was my favourite it's fallen to the bottom of my list now, It's still good, but I find the others to be that little bit sharper and easier to work with. The last pen liner which is my faourite currently is the collection extreme 24 hour felt tip liner. it's just got such a true black colour when applying and the pen is so quick and easy to use and didn't bend out of shape like I found the loreal one to.

Last but not least is the pencils, which I most use for my under eye. The first one was a quick pick up I made from natural collection and is a simple white pencil which is great to brighten up the ees and look more awake. I find with eye pencils it's very hard to get it wrong, so in most cases I'm not all that fussed about brands. the second one is a basic black unbranded one that I received in a set along with the last blue one. The in between  is a soft kohl pencil from Rimmel which is a gorgeous shimmery blue colour that I like to use for a little pop of colour under the eye.

Not as big of a collection as I would like as eye liners are second only to lipsticks for me and I wish I had 10 times the amount that I do but one day, one day.
If any, what eye liners do you use? give me recommendations!

And We're off to the Races. #ColourMeMarch

So hi...

Bit of an out of the usual schedule post today, aren't you guys lucky. and anyone noticed the title? It made me think of Lana Del Ray's song 'Off to the races' very post appropriate.

Anyway I was recently asked to take part in the #ColourMeMarch Campaign as apart of the Cheltenham Races Ladies day this Wednesday!
You may have guessed from the colour part but it's an event that celebrates colour and style, though of course you would still want to look classy and appropriate for the races. It's a very fancy and gorgeous event with classy style all over the place, which seemed much more fashionable than little ol' me is capable of... however I was asked to create a colourful but appropriate look which would be wearable to the races. So I thought I better get my fashion on and see what I could do.

Now colour is now something I wear often, not due to me disliking colour but I'm one of those people that worry often about wearing things too colourful, I mean black looks slim, and boy do I need slim. But when thinking about this I thought about my wardrobe and worked out a few outfits.
As I'm indecisive I decided to show off 2-3 different outfits.

The first outfit choice was created by the idea that one colour my wardrobe is full of is red. I'm often told red is one colour that suits me and as such often get bought it, red shoes red lipstick red clothes, I have it all. so why not mash it together into a redtastic outfit one come wear watching the races?

I chose my staple piece of my bright red skirt and old faithful prom shoes ( red stilettos, I was a brave child apparently) and went from there. I decided on a plain black ( hear me out) vest top and then a navy and cream block shirt over the top unbuttoned and tucked in along with the vest top. This was because I'm a comfort kinda girl, I like to look good and feel comfortable, with this in mind I always find keeping my shirts buttoned up distracts me for the whole day, are the buttons all come up correctly does it sit right etc etc. I always thought to layer and use the shirt almost like a jacket, rather than cover the colourful red skirt up in my tie up black coat.

However if necessary I thought to add a scarf, recently bought from Paris to the coat in order to keep the colour there and keep myself warm also, This is also a cover up I would be able to do few all the outfits I've chosen. And That's outfit number one for you. Do you think I look good enough for the Races? I think I'm not too shabby!

The second outfit choice is probably my favourite. The center piece and you may have guessed is this gorgeous mint green midi skirt which was only a few pound from Primark, I love the floral patterns on it. I paired with the trusty black vest top and my Select floral kimono and a gold and cream flower statement necklace from ebay. Bag-wise I went for yet another satchel, ( what can I say to me they spell bag class) this one is a gorgeous big black satchel with a cute colourful tartan print of the front, just to add that extra oomph of colour. Overall I love how adult and classy the midi skirt looks and with some chunky boots and high pony tail I felt I brought a little bit of my style to the races.

The Third and Final outfit is for the hopeful ones wishing of sun. Sunnys and all this was the outfit I would chose if I was super hopeful for the Sun's graceful appearance while at the races. this pretty little number is a playsuit I picked up from clothesminded.co.uk and while it's base colour is black it's pattern brings out subtle colour. I wore some pointed heels with a frill trim at the front and a simple monochrome shoulder bag from new look, I also wore cat eye sunglasses in preparation!

And those are my #ColourMeMarch outfit choices for the Cheltenham Races Ladies day. Not the fanciest outfits and I have no big hats to wear on my head but with what I have as a student but I am happy with these outfits.

What sort of colourful outfits would you wear to the Races?

Paris Weekend Photo Diary 3#

So hi...

Starting off with around half of the photos I took on Saturday. Again its very photo heavy as I have about 100 photos just from the Saturday. It was our first full day after actually sleeping in the hostel and waking up feeling refreshed, so we got even more done than we had on the Friday.
