St. Patricks Day Make-up!

So hi...

A day early with this one but I'll be having a OOTD post for paddy's day itself so look forward to that!
So paddy's day is something I tend to celebrate big, I have a lot of Irish in my mums side of the family and as long as I can remember everyone was out and about together for paddy's day. There's a lot of fond memories for me. Last year I was gutted to not do anything for paddy's day as I still had Uni, But this year I'll be in Ireland in the middle of Dublin for Paddy's day with family and friends and I can't wait, What better way to spend St. Patricks day!
As such I thought I would do a little showcase of what I'll be wearing on my face for paddy's day, well the part the makes it themed anyway.
So without meaning to I ended up using mainly Make-up Revolution Products. My base I used all my normal products that I would use daily, which I'll probably do an updated post on soon so be ready for that!
The main product I used was then the Acid brights palette, using the greens white and Orange as the Main look was to do two little irish flags on my eye lids, I also used two single Makeup revolution shadows in Temtpress and Frozen for underneath the eyes and a little of frozen over top of the white.

Here's a little swatch card to see what all the colours look off the skin. To Accompany the eyes I decided on this pretty coral coloured lipstick from Miss sporty, which I can't even tell you the shade name as the label has rubbed off. My bad!

These were pretty much perfect to create a super nice look, I then put gel black liner in a thin line over top, cause girl I love my cat flick.

And here's the finished look! Honestly I probably won't be able to make it look this good on the actual day as I'll be flying and also travelling alone I feel a bit silly dressed up ready to go out, Even though I shouldn't. I might just stop being a coward and just wear it from start to end.

Are you doing anything for St.Patricks day?

NEXT Lingerie.

So hi...

Now before Christmas I was invited to an event by Next to have a look around their Lingerie range and enjoy a few nibbles, but as I began my break shortly after I never got round to raving about my time there for you all, but when don't you need lingerie right? Because I know I'm always wanting more. The event itself was held inside the lingerie section of the NEXT Store inside the Bullring, Birmingham. It's really tucked away in the corner which is a shame as it looks gorgeous and everything is very well presented.

We were allowed to wander around and have a little look at the pieces and I have to say, everything was so fancy and pretty looking, my favourite pieces were the bralet bra's and the corset style pieces, absolutely gorgeous, After snapping up a few photos the NEXT team told us a little about their ranges, with which each style of bra has it's own name, meaning you can easily remember which style you love most or suits you as it has it's own name. They also told us about their bra fitting service they offer which I didn't know about. You can go into NEXT and get your size told, Which we all did, I was surprised to find my size was different to what I thought!
They also do this size fitting without you needing to have your baps out, But by letting the team member have a look at your current bra on, and they then make suggestions on what size you are.
I found it very interesting when they told us that we should really be getting our bra size checked often as our size can constantly change, I'm one of those people that assumed as long as I wasn't drastically losing or gaining weight that my bra size would be the same.

There was a table of nibbles and drinks available and also this little table set up by Savvy Beauty who were giving us bloggers a lovely hand massage, which was a nice touch. I got one at the beginning of the event and it left my hands feeling super soft and smooth.

Please excuse the chipped nail varnish... shameful.

We were all allowed to take home a set of NEXT lingerie, I chose 'Holly' In a pale blue colour and then bought myself this gorgeous 'Lizzie' Bra with matching underwear as well.

The pieces are both super pretty and comfortable and with them both being in my correct size I found that my boobs looked so much better even under plain t-shirts and I felt much more comfortable and relaxed.

Have you ever an a nosy a NEXT Lingerie, What's your style?

Duran-Duran Exhibition event.

So Hi...

About 2 weeks back I was lucky enough to be invited to a Duran Duran 'Careless Moments' Exhibition of Photographer Denis O’Regan, who spent time on the road with Duran Duran in the ‘80s, as well as a few other famous names such as pink floyd and Queen.
I was incredibly surprised and excited to be invited by East Village Pr and also decided to bring a plus one, who was Sophie my flat mate as she's a huge huge Duran duran fan and I thought it rude not to invite her, she might have killed me!

The event was at the Malbar on the first floor of the mailbox and it was super fancy looking, really pretty looking place, though I couldn't hep but feel a bit out of place as myself and Sophie were definitely the youngest people in there, for a while we just relaxed and had the free champagne before Sophie started chatting to a lady who told us there was a room displaying the exhibition, We decided to try a Duranduran themed Cocktail before having a little peak.

The photos and book that were on display were all gorgeously laid out, it was also incredibly interesting to see all these photos of the past, it made me want to experience one of those performance with the screaming girls and all. The book also came with white gloves that people needed to where in order to look through, it's like it was a precious bible of duranduran's memories.

There was also a special guest! Who was Roger Taylor himself from the band!! Sophie was super excited about this and I couldn't help but also feel a little star struck, Sophie purchased a print and we were able to get into the book signing room where both Denis and Roger signed her print and we both got photos, I love how Denis decided to photo bomb mine.

We had a little chat with Roger before we had to leave to catch the train but it was an amazing evening that I think we both really enjoyed!
I'm incredibly grateful to eastvillagePR for considering to invite me!

The Alice Boutique Launch

So Hi...

Last Tuesday I was lucky enough to be invited down to Birmingham centre to attend the Launch party of the Alice Boutique, an online shop of gorgeous collectible tea sets as well as cushions and other delightful little pieces.

When we arrived the centre table was covered in the beautiful little items from the collection and they all looked so cute and stylish. I also noticed very quickly the cute little pattern cushions, I'm recently having a small obsession with pillows and cushions so this made me very happy.

There were also different sections for the different styles of the collections, such as the monochrome section, great to fit into any coloured kitchen or collectors cupboard.

There were a number of little features to the room which added to the Alice in wonderland effect such as the little eat/drink me notes attached to the drinks and food. There was also a little photo booth with accessories which you could take part in as well as flamingo croquet which was a blast!

The event also had added features from Handmade boutique which Tracie ( the creator of Alice Boutique and of handmade boutique) had used that just added a great effect to the whole room and it was really a lovely evening

We were given refreshments and cocktails through out the evening which was nice.
Overall it was a lovely evening in which I got to chat to fellow bloggers as well as enjoy the gorgeous alice in wonderland themed collection that surrounded us. I'm really a fan of the cushions and will definitely be looking into purchasing one soon!
Have you seen Handmade boutique before? or do you like the looks of alice in wonderland themed teapots and such?
