Instagram Healthy Food Diary.

So hi...

If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed that I have been posting all my meals lately. This is because I've started to use my instagram page as a way to track what I eat and keep a food diary. Along with this I've also been following weekly meal plans that I found from Weight watchers. I decided to do all this as I've struggled with my weight most my life, or as long as I can remember. When I was born, I was actually 2 months early and so was tiny when I came out. Doctors didn't actually think I would survive and I was kept in the hospital for a while. Because of this panic my parents told me they used to give me a lot of food and things so I would grow normally and okay. Well that worked a little too well, From junior school I was bigger and a little taller than most of the other children. And although everyone shot up in their height and I didn't I still have always been what I consider pretty big. I've tried a number of things before but I never seem to shift.

This has always cause a lot of insecurities for me and although now I don't consider myself to be obese or anything ( I'm size 14 comfortably in 90% of clothing) I'm still, like most people rather unhappy with my body. So I decided to revamp. I've changed a lot of my eating habits already in the past year. I rarely drink anything but water ( and usually have about 5 bottles of water a day) and I don't tend to have processed food as I've gotten into the habit of eating fresher at uni.(minus the odd takeaway)

These still haven't been able to shift the weight I want and so here I am. after that long super personal ramble, Telling the blogging world my plans. This way I feel I'll be much more motivated to keep up to the meal plans I'm following and more motivated to generally improve my fitness and health.
Feel free to follow me on my instagram page. I may start to post my weight loss or gain after another month or so.
I'm hoping to lose around 3 stone of weight. And I think this can be done healthily in around 4-5 months, Let me know your thoughts on that?

I've also lost 8/9lbs within the last 2 weeks already purely due to the fact I got a tongue piercing, making eating solid foods quite difficult, so I didn't eat at all for about 5 days apart from the odd yogurt and soup. As I was still keeping myself busy and active I'm guessing that's the reason for the weight loss but it's a head start I guess?

With any luck I'll be writing an update post to this one with happy news and much slender fingers!

Bit over personal today but is there anything you've struggled with that you want to or have changed?

The Year Round up: 2014

So hi...

And that's the year over.. 2014 over and done with and I'm not sure whether I thought it was quick or not. Honestly a lot of the year feels quite blurry to me as Uni beginning has been such a huge change it's blurred the few months previous, BUT here it is a few photos of my year.

Janaury: This was a pretty good month, I went yolo mood and chopped off over half my hair to my shoulders and did lots of cooking as well as catching up with friends.

Febuary: As far as I remember this was another pretty good month, I went to see ADTR with my friend Darcie and  had another London trip for Casual Shopping with Ross, Was eventful and lots of fun.

March: not as good of a month, I finally went into hospital to get my Tonsils removed which had been playing up for nearly 6 months, but I was glad to have them out, And still got to enjoy Paddy' day with the Family, Result.

April: This was an interesting month, the highlight being the fancy dress party my friend had, which I went as a maid If you couldn't tell, I think it looks pretty good, I also got a bit of summer prep shopping done and treated myself to games, I love the Bioshock game series.

May: I had a really good may, had a lot of fun, Went out for a 'quiet' drink with my friend Amber which ended up with a struggled walk home at 6.30am, I also had work at 8 the next day where I didn't finish till 8pm, It was hard, I feel like I lost my sanity at some point, but I still really enjoyed the work and night out aha! I also had a great chilled 'party' at my Friends which is the second picture. And the last is a catch up with Friend Darcie where we were classy and sat with a whole pizza each and a Costa, Perfect.

June: Apparently june was the month of selfies for me. In honesty this was the month my memory card messed up and decided to wipe my photos before I got a chance to back the latest files up, And so poor june here doesn't have much to show for it, but I remember it was a lovely start to my summer, I wore dresses and everything, I also had a really good work shift at the club for Specs comedy, it was really good.

July: Getting into the full swing of summer I made sure to make the most of it trying to soak up the rays without burning and we had plenty of nights out with lots of ridiculous photos as you can tell.

August: So I slightly messed up my neat 3 photo thing i had going on here but August is summer and my birth month so gimme some leeway here. And can i just say, that middle photo, I now look at and wish I looked like that now, I was working out then as well, what the hell?? As I said before I turned 19 in august and had lots of days in the sun, nights out and a little BBQ at a friends, I also got a full fringe which I'm already missing...

September: Again ruining the theme but the last few months have been very eventful and I've tried to take more photos for it. I moved to Uni and had a heart breaking 'Last Supper' with my friends at home. But Freshers was super eventful and fun, very student typical in the large amount of partying.

October: Still in the moving to uni swing, I still spent lots of time partying with my new friends. I also went to a toga party as apart of a social with the Football society I joined, they are a fab bunch. I also had a lovely week back home as we partied on halloween (My friend has his birthday on halloween) And I got to see my cat, always a highlight.

November: The partying calmed down slightly in November but not too much, It was also the start of the Festivities of Christmas settling in, I got to experience the German Christmas market in Birmingham, It was absolutely amazing. Everything was so pretty and it put me right into the Christmas spirit

December: And so here we are the last month, I could chat ages about December since It's fresh in my mind but you would have already seen my December round up so I won't go on. It was a nice mix between being at uni and at home and was an absolutely amazing finish to the year!

And that was my year, I'd say it was a pretty good year apart from the hospital early on and stuff, but I pasted my A levels and Uni is going well, I also already signed for a house next year with the amazing group of friends I've made at uni and I can't wait to live in a house next year. I've also really grown as a person since uni, and have grown very close with a few people from home, I suppose realizing those I can always rely on.

So it's been a really great year I think, Well as the end of it I'm feeling positive so it had to be!
How was your year? Did you get up to much?

September Goals.

So hi...

I feel like this is going to sound very 'typical blogger' but now that I'm well out of high school, I quite like September, after august being my favourite month due to it being my birthday and most often the beginning of cooler weather at the end of august. But September is a nice and cosy month, I love the crisp air that can feel so refreshing and how everyone wears a bolder berry lip with pride!
September this year is a huge and slightly stressful month for me. On the 20th I make the final move to Birmingham, where I'll (hopefully) spend the next three years of my life and I just hope I click with people. Anyway enough rambles, I thought I'd make a little list of things I hope to achieve in September, they are personal and all very uni/ living situation related but enjoy.

1. Successfully move out with minimal forgetfullness- Basically be organised and not leave half my things at home to find out weeks later I reeeaally need them.

2.Eat healthily at Uni - Too many people have warn me of Uni weight gain and I can't afford any of that! I see uni and independent living as a way to completely control my eating habits and really work towards better living and weight loss.

3. Linked with 2 NO TAKEAWAYS - Not only can I really not afford it but I really want to avoid that junk food, I've not decided to completely cut takeaways because I feel like it'll be a common thing for the flat to collectively order but one takeaway for every two weeks is the maximum if not one a month!

4. Make friends - Quite a general one here but I'd really like to make a few good friends within the first few weeks, already chatted to a few people through facebook and found fellow course members, so It's looking like a good start :)

5. Cook my flatmates a meal - Kinda cheesy but I think as well as get along with all my flat mates I'd quite like to cook a group meal, There's 6 of us in one flat, but I think that's a good amount.

6.Learn my way around Birmingham - I hate not knowing where I am, and I think the quicker I can learn the bus routes and my way around the city ( or at least the city centre and around my uni/halls) I'll feel a lot more safe and at home.

That's Really the main ones, there's loads of other little things but these 6 are my top priorities! I really am getting quite excited for uni now but at the same time the realization that I'll also be leaving so many people behind makes me feel kinda sad.

What are you're goals for the month of September? You moving to uni or a new place?

We'll talk soon lovelies!

Personal reading challenge: August Results

So Hi...

This month wasn't really a great month for me in terms of reading, I pretty much got hardly any done.
out of the 6 shortish books I chose from the unfortunate series of events series, I only got the first two books read, shameful. I just had a pretty busy month and spent a lot of it out the house and doing things, a lot of the time I was also a little too tired to read when I got home.

If I'm honest I don't plan to set any certain books to read for September, I'll definitely finish reading the last 4 books from August but with me moving to a new place for uni, a big new city, I feel like reading will be the last thing on my mind and if I am reading it'll be textbooks and uni work, which I don't think you guys will care too much to know about. I'll definitely make sure to read a book a month at the bare minimum and when I settle into uni life I might start up this little challenge again.

How did you read anything particularly interesting this month?

We'll talk soon lovelies!

The 5 Year Plan: Where do I go now?

So Hi,

I seen my friend Kit, Who is an amazing fashion photographer ( check him out at his blog here) make a post of this title and it got me thinking about doing it as well, though my thoughts are no where near as neatly laid out and organised as Kit's plans. I'll give it a go anyhow!

1-3 Years: University (Hopefully at Birmingham City)
There's not much variation for this. In September, if my grades permit... I'll be heading off to Birmingham city uni to study Psychology and Criminology, and for 3 years of my life that's where I'm hoping to stay. I'm really looking forward to the idea of living in a city and I've already looked up a load of little events and such that I want to go to that are held in Birmingham, it's all so exciting and I really look forward to making the most of my time there.

4 Years: Visit to America and Finding my way.
Honestly, I don't have any super set in stone plans for once I finish Uni. I haven't gotten to the point where I'm decided on if I will fuller pursue the years training required to become a full fledged Psychologist or Criminologist, if I did, that could be a total of 7 years in training, and I don't know whether I want to give away my life and youth that quickly after finishing uni. 1 Thing that is planned however is a trip to America, Or more on point to Texas to attend RTX.  I'm a big fan of Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter and Although I could have attended RTX already, I want to be 21 to meet America's drinking laws and so I can attend the after parties involved, just a way to get the most out of my visit.

5 Years: Saving Saving Saving
In 5 years time I could still be going through training, and that's a scary thought. But it does supply much more stability than where I'd think I'd be doing... I'd like to think I'd be on my way to saving for a house, And I'd like to have be driving by then and saving also for a car, I know it's super over ambitious with all this but I plan to start saved now, like I'm going to risk living a little poorer at uni so I can put a few quid away whenever I can. Hopefully I can save something up even if that's only a few hundred in the 3-4 years.

And that's it, my very messy unstable unplanned plans for the next few years of my life now that my time at college is finally finished, Seems so strange to me saying that.

What's your plans for the next 5 years of your life, Whether your finished college, heading to high school or already out of uni... where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

We'll talk soon lovelies!
