The Monthly Round up: July

So hi...

Another month gone by and it's not really been too great... I did get to do the race for life Sunday 5th july and work a new pub job that evening which I loved but Monday night I got a little too cocky with a skateboard and broke my left foot. and have been stuck in a cast since, meaning I've been stuck inside the whole month and spent numerous days returning to hospital and n all honesty it's been a really downer for me, not being able to be dependent and not being able to get out the house it ridiculously emotionally draining. but I have had a few nice moments, Friends visited me every now and again, we have a girls night with takeaway which the boys took over, I went to one night of pre-drinks just to relax and chat with everyone and I hosted a fajita night at mine with cheesecake for dessert and everything. I've also gotten a lot happier the longer I've been in the cast, probably as I'm used to it and I know I'll be able to get it off and get out again soon. I'm still wearing it as I speak, and not gonna lie, dreading the hairy mess my one leg will undoubtedly be (soz if tmi) but I'll be going to the hospital 10th August to get my Cast off, then I have a load of things planned, including a birthday celebration in my Birmingham flat as I turn 20! no longer a teen then.

Being stuck inside meant selfie central, and some make-up practice, which I guess is a plus...

So how was your July? hopefully a lot more active than mine!

The Monthly Round Up: June

So hi....

June has been a stupidly busy month for me, which you may have guessed from the severe lack of posting, which although I'm slightly annoyed at myself for I'm still amazingly happy with how my month has gone. It was completely full of going out, catching up with friends, hardly being home and a whole load of working. I've been working 2 jobs (which has just increased to 3) And trying to make the most of seeing friends as some of them were only home for the month of June and have already gone back to uni. So I hope you'll forgive me. June has honestly the best start of Summer I could have ever asked for, comfortably continuing what has been the best year of my life. I'm continuously reassured of my happiness with the closeness of my friendship group and the memories we've made. There's also been a lot of future talk within my friendship group, of how we can see ourselves as friends in the future, and how we would let our kids hang with any of our friends we have now, those talks feel so mature and make me so proud of my group of friends and how responsible we all are to do well in our own lives but still keep our friendships strong. If you didn't know, I have a group of about 10-14 friends who I've been close friends with for about 7 years now.

So yeah June was an amazing month, and although I'll be working my butt off, I hope July will be filled with just as much memories and adventure.

How was your June? did you miss me?

Mid Year thoughts

So hi...

So we're now midway through 2015, it's the middle of June and I can't believe how quickly this year has been going by, I've finished my first year of uni, made lovely friends, been abroad twice and it's been crazy. I also Blogged every day in may which was a super interesting experience which I was really proud of myself for doing, you may have noticed I when took a little break from posting. Though I wanted to keep a regular stream of blogging going I decided to have a little break to sort things out at home with jobs and life plans etc etc.
But I'm back on it now, and ready to power forward!
This year for me has been the best of my life so far. With the start of uni at the end of last year I really started to get into my sense of self and knowing what I want to do with the next few years of my life. My Confidence is one thing that has definitely gone up, I've stopped caring so much about other people's opinions and acted on my own wants and idea. This is everything from  my attitude to my fashion sense. I've had a complete mental re-haul. If I want to buy a dress i buy it, whereas before i'd worry about peoples opinions.
It's an amazing feeling to feel happy with yourself and feel secure with where you're heading. I know that Uni was the best decision I've made for my own progress and development and I still really hope to go into criminal therapy once I finish Uni.

As you guys know if you've been keeping up with my posts I've been abroad twice this year, I went to Paris in February with my Uni fashion Society and then to Spain, Salou a month later with my Uni Football team. It was amazing to go away and experience a different country, It light a flame for travel in me. I've also recently been catching up with Funforlouis' videos, which has inspired me even more. The travels and sights he experiences are simply outstanding. I hope to one day visit so many fantastic places.
But that'll have to be around uni for now.

So we're halfway through the year and at the beginning of Summer and I can't wait to see what the rest of this year holds for me. I'm working to earn as much as I can over Summer and Hoping to go Amsterdam for a few days towards the end of August with friends which will be incredible.

So 2015. Thanks for being so good to me! please keep it up.
How has your year gone so far?

New Piercings! Life update.

So hi...

This is probably the first post I've straight up said is a life update but I really like these kinds of posts generally and although my life isn't the most exciting, I quite like the idea of updating you guys a little more than the very minimal update I give in my monthly round up posts. With that said, I finally bit the bullet and got two new piercings! I previously (warning possible TMI) had my nipples pierced but have in the last 2 months removed them. Apart from them I've always considered having a tongue piercing, and since forever I've wanted my ears pierced. I had them done for about a week when I was i think 5-6 but as I was a child I immediately lost the earrings and so they just closed. My mum had promised me ever since that she would get them done for me again but alas, that never happened...

Before:

So Last Wednesday I decided to head down to Modern Body Art after a decent amount of researching and got 2 piercings. I found a lot of slack online for most of the places in Birmingham, which I was really shocked about, I had intended to get the piercings done at blue banana but the horror stories a few people gave online was off putting, they gave the valid point that it is not a place dedicated to piercing but a fashion shop with a piercing place stuck to the side. The place which had the least negative views etc was Modern body art, which you may be able to guess is mainly a tattoo parlor. Someone had said 'if only they were as enthusiastic about piercings as they were tattoos. But I wanted to get them done and I didn't want to wait till I got home. I found out that they did a deal of every piercing for £15 on Wednesday which was good enough for me so I went.

Straight After:

And honestly it was a brilliant experience, the guy was knowledgeable, and patiently waited while I prepared myself for the tongue piercing. the place was super clean and professional and I'm really glad that I chose to go there. So Yeah I got both ears done which was pretty painless and then the tongue piercing, compared to how much i worked myself up it really didn't hurt, even after a week it hasn't really hurt all that bad once. I'm so happy I bit the bullet and got them. I'd been playing with the idea of a tongue piercing for a while but held back for a number of silly reasons, including the fact that I have cuts in my tongue, which you might be able to see from the pictures, but it's always been like that as far as I remember and the guy who pierced it said it was no problem.

After a few hours:

I'm also considering getting my septum, but as that is a super obvious right in your face piercing I bought a fake one a few weeks back that I'm waiting to arrive.
SO yeah, what do you think of the piercings, I'm a super big fan, despite that the parents aren't all that fond!

Any piercings or even tattoos that you've thought of for ages then just gone for it?
Let me know don't in the comments section below!
