Doodle Dumpin 4#

So hi...

Another all digital share this time round. I've been live streaming my Art and creative process and it's meant that I've been 10 times mre creative and gotten pieces done start to finish, instead of just having a million unfinished pieces in my folders.
If you watch any streams or you're on twitch I'd appreciate a follow!

The Monthly Round up: March

So Hi...

March was probably the first month I've felt didn't rush by before I could grasp what was happening, it was like baby bears porridge, It was just right!
The start of the month was a little stressful as it was a bit of a assessment period with 2/3 hand in dates for my uni assignments, but after that was over I got to go to Ireland for a short weekend trip which started off my Easter holidays.
The Easter holiday was pretty good to me as well, I went to see the Deadpool film with friends which was amazing and went to a trampoline jump arena which was really cool but so damn tiring. like watching the kids so full of energy while a group of 20 year olds keep stopping for breaks must have been amusing to the workers.
Character Artwork Reilia// With my Sister and Mum in Dublin on Paddy's day
// Twitch community byes // Ireland make-up selfie// Cutely dressed up horse in Dublin

Art wise I'm really content as well, it's a slow steep journey to improvement and being actually proud of my work but I'm happy with the direction I'm going.
I've been thoroughly enjoying watching streams on twitch as well, Mostly gaming streamers but there's a few creative streamers I've been enjoying as well. My favourite is Ray (BrownMan) who formerly worked at RoosterTeeth, but the community is really great for twitch and chatting to different people from america and all over has been really interesting.

I actually have no plans for April and as the month leading up to exam period and finishing up assignments I probably won't have much to say next round up, but we'll see!

How was your March?

February Favourites: 2016

So hi...

I love how well February favourites just rolls off the tongue don't you?

Anyway, this month has been one of trying new things and really just setting myself up for the year. As I also started blogging again this year it generally made me think about all the beauty and skincare products I have which in turn lead to me experimenting and actually having a decent amount of favourites to share. It's usually the case that I just never have enough different favourites to keep up each month but we'll see how that goes. My favourites this month are a decent mixture of beauty fashion and arty type stuff so here goes.

-Tablet: So my biggest favourite this month (and this year really) has definitely been my WACOM bamboo tablet, I can't believe I ever stopped using it. I think it was because I was 15 or so and didn't really understand the possibilities and didn't have a good program to go with it. It was also around the time that I started to go out a lot more and was basically out the house most of the time. since then it was just sitting in my under bed storage gathering dust. When I started really getting back into drawing and sketching I remembered that I had it and dug it out, and well it's sat comfortably in front of my laptop since.

-Diary: If I keep up using and updating my diary, it'll probably be a favourite every month, because who doesn't like feeling organised and in control of their life? I actually have two diaries, This one photographed is my main one which stays on my desk and I write in each night for my to-do lists and planned outings etc. And I carry one basic diary if my bag if case I need to write something down for a plan or exams at uni or just generally while I'm out. It's been a good month for organization!

-Mist You Madly: This has been a huuge favourite. S&G products are always amazing,  have yet to find a product I didn't really like, and most of them also smell amazing, this product is no different. it's super nice to just spray  a bit in the morning before leaving and it just lingers. I'm not really great at explaining scents but yu can definitely tell it's a soap and glory product and has a bit of a sweet smell, it's starting to get low as well and it's making me so sad.

-#Makeup Bag: This bag was actually a free extra I got in superdrug, I think it was just for spending over a certain amount but I really like it, It's a perfect size and I use it for make up pieces that I want to try or use but aren't really a part of my everyday make-up or it won't fit in my everyday make-up basket. It's also a good size to use for short trips as a travel bag, as such I'll be using this for the make-up I take to Ireland.

-Sleek Storm Palette: This is a re-find. I bought this palette ages ago after seeing a lot about how good sleek was for their eye shadows, when I bought it I used it almost daily, but as I also bought the naked palettes and have just generally increased my palette collection, this beauty got buried a little bit sadly. Since I have been making an effort to look through my make-up and skincare collection more often however I found this palette again and it's sat in my daily make-up basket, which I think is where it will stay for a few weeks yet.

-Nars Satin lip pencil in Majella: Another re-find. I actually wasn't keen on this when I first bought it. I got it from paris, exactly about a year ago now and I think I expected it to be some miracle product as it was and still is my first and only NARS product, But finding it and trying it again, it is a very good product and feels nice on my lips, I've been having trouble with lipsticks in general recently and just not liking the way any lipstick looks or applies but this was different and has slowly helped me regain my lipstick confidence.

-Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel eyeliner 24h: I had recently run out of eyeliner pen. Well not run out as such but the current eye liner I was using was actually starting to dry out and getting really annoying to apply smoothly and with precision, so I Thought I would get the gel liner back out again. I'm pretty decent with gel liner, I don't have many problems getting a sharp line, I've practised so much generally in applying eyeliner that I like to think it's one of my strong points. Despite this, eyeliner pen is still usually my go to, it's just the easiest and quickest option, but I do prefer the colour and smoothness of gel, so I'm keeping with this for now, at least till I find a new liner I haven't tried yet to experiment with.

-: New look Scarf; Now I have recently written a post about this scarf which you can read and look at here.
Those are all my favourites for February, We'll see how March goes for favourites, you'll see more favourites posts for as long as I'm not super boring and changing up and trying new (or old) things.

What has been your favourite products or moment in February?

Arty Supplies Haul.

So hi...

As I have mentioned and you might be able to tell from my Doodle dumpin' post (here) I'm super into drawing recently, it's a hobby I've picked back up from when I used to draw non-stop in high school. I use my WACOM Tablet to draw digitally but as I always want to improve in all aspects of drawing, I keep up drawing traditionally. So I've been window shopping around and have slowly picked up a few pieces, which I thought I'd show off.

First few things I picked up were the big set of erasers, since I always seem to lose the ones I have, so I thought buying a couple wouldn't do me any harm, they cost me only £1. The next thing was the A3 Sketch pad, I picked this up so I could experiment of bigger pieces and adding in lots of details to backgrounds. I also want to use it to practice my painting skills because I haven't really painted at all since high school art classes, although I really enjoyed it. Tying into that I picked up this watercolours paint set from Royal and Langnickel, it only cost a couple of pounds and I didn't want to fork out for better quality paints until I know I'll make good use of them and learn how to properly paint and colour to a satisfying standard. And along with that yet again, how can I hope to paint without any brushes to paint with? So I picked up a set from the same brand as the watercolours, I think you can work out why.

The most expensive thing I got in the whole haul was these Copic Marker pens. I bought 3 sets but one of them were for Pre-order and have yet to arrive, but I don't mind waiting. All 3 sets are apart of the Copic Ciao brand. The first set on the left as you can see is the Manga 2 set (of 4/5 sets I believe). I picked it for the nice range of bright colours along with a great liner pen, The colours from left to right are:
E21- a lovely peachy skin colour
B45-  a light pastel blue
BG49-  an aqua green colour
R05- a bright baby blue
R59- a bright true red
The colours are all super true to their appearance and are great quality.
The second set on the right is called the 'Scrap & Stempel set 2' The colours in this set are much more pastel and has a bigger ranges but are still super pretty, the colours are:
E57: a basic brown
RV95: a purple tinted pink colour
G21: A muddy ivy green
E51: a yellow toned skin colour
B93: a basic blue colour
0: Blender pen
The two sets are both amazing Quality, though as these markers are always highly praised as markers for professionals it's not much of a surprise. They cost me £13.50 each, which isn't too bad for 6 marker pens. I already adore them and can't wait to keep improving myself and increasing my collection of them.

The last purchases of the haul are two kind of pens I use to outline and add shines to some drawings, The Black pen is a 'needle' pen from Uni-ball and was about £2/3 and then the white pen is actually a gel pen from Hybrid which was about the same price. they are cheap but they do they job of outlining and just making a drawing look sharper and generally better. And that's everything in my little art haul, pretty content with everything that I got and how they've been going.

Any good art products you've bought recently? or stationary bits?

Doodle Dumpin 1#

So Hi....

As I've mentioned before, drawing has become a huge part of my life recently. I've always been into drawings and my high school books used to be covered in little drawings and doodles, but it kind of died down in college and I couldn't really afford to draw in classes and I was often out or busy in evenings. But over summer, especially as I couldn't move much I got back into it, I also dusted off my WACOM tablet and have been practising my digital drawing skills.
Honestly I'm not that great, I'm really trying to study the way people move in day to day life and study anatomy at the moment, then I'm planning to work on backgrounds and landscapes, but it's all a learning curve, and I'm happy with my slow progress.

With this in mind I thought I would show off my doodles and drawings every so often, the regularity of these posts will really depend on how much drawing I get done and finished, I'm one of those people that end up with a load of unfinished pieces due to not liking the piece any more or just losing motivation. I've grouped a few of them together but there's still quite a few to show so this first lot will be mostly traditional doodles and the next will be a little mixture!

And yeah, Those are my current doodles, Any constructive criticism on how to improve or anything is always appreciated, as long as it's not just telling me how shit I am, dat's not nice.
Also if you like my drawings enough that you wanna keep up with them, I got DeviantART for that shizz.

The Break is over?

So... um hi
Long time no see, how ya all doing...

Yeah so it's been a while. around 4 months since my last post and it's now 2016 AND already February, whaaat?
Crazy right. Anyway I've had quite a long break, mostly due to restarting University for my 2nd year and trying to reorganise my life and a few personal struggles, but I'm finally feeling up to start over with blogging and getting stuck in.

I'm planning to do daily posts, with maybe one or two days gap a month, but since I'm a bit out of touch I won't be too strict on myself with that.
I'll also be less beauty orientated I think, not that I have always be strictly that, I'm a pretty big mixture of a person so I like to share that but previously worried that no one wanted to read about my other enjoyments. HOWEVER, I don't care now, I'll be writing because I want to, who wants to read posts that the writer clearly forced out anyway huh? it's usually obvious that this is the case as well.

I'm still a big beauty fan and I'm proving my make-up skills all the time but I've also gotten really back into drawing and want to share that and I'm exploring my cooking skills and fashion sense.
I also love lifestyle posts, that are probably my favourite to read and I enjoy writing them.

Have a happy Christmas selfie of my middle sister and I. Aren't we fab?

So yeah, it's all one big messy mish mash right now, but it's my mish mash.
Hope those of you, who previously followed me have stuck about!
It's nice to be back.
Thanks for reading!
