My Summer Essentials.

So hi...

Convenient that now I've sat down to write this post the sun seems to have hidden itself away, however I still thought I'd put this post up. When the sun hit us here in the UK I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one that got myself a arsenal of essential products to last me through the summer heat.

Suncream.
One of the most obvious ( which I ironically didn't have photographed here ) is suncream, can't be dealing with that bright red sun burn.
Sunglasses.
In line with that I have to carry round with me some sunglasses, I don't do too well in heat and I certainly don't like it blinding me, I have two pairs that I swap between, one from a cosmopolitan magazine in a cateye style and the other a rather basic pair from primark for £1.
Face Wipes.
Now don't hate me for this one! I know well the dislike for face wipes in the blogging community, however it's just something I always keep by me, sometime it's nice to refresh your hot sweaty face with a face wipe, I find it refreshes my face and that's good by me.
Dry Shampoo.
This one is quite popular for summer due to festivals and such, and although I wasn't able to go to any festival this summer (boo!) I still use dry shampoo a lot during the summer when i'm feeling hot and my hair is feeling a little lacking.
Sudocream.
So a bit more of a weird one but in summer I get bitten, a lot. My blood must be sweet because a day out near any form of grass of greener end up in a lovely load of red dots all over my legs, though this year the bugs changed it up a bit and left my whole body covered in bites. It's rather unpleasant and Itchy, so I regularly need to put sudocream on the bites to calm them. As I said, odd one but rather necessary for me.
Bright Lipstick.
In summer when I can be bothered to wear lipstick I'm all about the brights, mostly reds and orangey tones, my favourite currently is Rimmels kate moss 101 lipstick, it's just the perfect classic red for me. I think a bright lipstick can really bring together an outfit that may be quite basic due to the heat limiting an outfit creativity.
Headphones.
Last essential for me is headphones. I love listening to music especially when walking around, so for me my headphones have to be on me at all times to stop myself getting bored. I recently left my headphones at my mums by accident  and the week without them was absolutely awful.

And there you have it, my personal summer essentials this year, most of them are pretty basic ones I'd guess.
What are your top summer essentials?

Payday haul!

So hi...
The end of may gave me a rather decent payday due to lots of events and Luton down going up in the league and being busy. This meant I finally had a chance to pick myself up some summer clothes, which I have been desperate for! especially for some new dresses, I managed to pick up quite a few bits and the day itself was lovely as after shopping me and Ross went to see the new X-Men film and had a lovely carvery afterwards, it was great. Anyway back onto the bits I picked up!

So firstly thought I would go through the bottoms I got, the three shorts are all from primark, with the mint green and purple shorts priced at £5 which is pretty good as they fit comfortably and look nice.
The striped pair were slightly higher at £7 but still very worth it, they are also slightly longer than the others, which are almost like short shorts, which some people may not feel comfortable with.
The jeggings I collected from Select, I'm wholly converted to jeggings, I hardly wear jeans and jeggings are just the perfect bottom for me, these ones were about £12 and has lovely lace detailing on the pockets.
When I headed out for my day of shopping I made an little objective to buy at least two dresses and i'm proud to say that objective was met! The Aztec dress was from Primark at a bargain of £5, it's pretty, perfectly summery and the colours are not neon bright which is a trend i'm not keen on for clothing in summer.
The second dress was from select ( can you tell what shops are my favourite?) and i absolutely love this dress, it sits gorgeously and I could easily dress it either up or down for day or night time wear, and the lace detailing on the front trim of the dress is just amazingly cute, I think this was £14.

Made a visit to Superdrug on my travels ( hoe surprising) And picked up these three products.
The Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Colour Lipsticks were on offer at £3.99 and as I love my matte kate moss lipstick how could I refuse, I picked up the gorgeous red shade 01, Despite my lipstick collection already 80% shades of red. I just couldn't risk and it was definitely a good call as I love it.
Next is another MUA nail varnish, in the shade bold blue this is a perfect colour for summer and I already have this on my nails as I type!
Last but not least was yet another can of Dry shampoo, I picked up Bastiste in a cherry scent, which I thought would be rather interesting to try as I usually go for the safe option of floral.

And that was that, a good few purchases to keep me satisfied... until next payday that is!
Get any nice summer buys recently?

January Favourites!

So Hi..

Post is a bit delayed! meant to post this for Sunday but had food poisoning unfortunately but anyway...

I thought I would attempt monthly favourite posts and we'll see how it goes! It'll be a general favourites, i'll include any books films food fashion and beauty items I've loved that month!

So lets get started.

Yankee Candles.
Yankee candles have been a big favourite this month as I have really gotten back into burning the candles I have most nights, My favourite is the fireside treats candle I received for Christmas. It's the most amazing smell ever so sweet and it burns really well and my room softly smells like the candle even the next day after burning. I also really like the pink dragon fruit yankee candle.

Batiste Dry Shampoo.

I just recently bought a bigger can of this dry shampoo as I think it just works very well and for those early starts and being rather tired and ill the last few weeks batiste dry shampoo has honestly been my savior in making me look more alive than I have actual felt. This one is called 'Floral and Flirty Blush' saucy eh?

Soap and Glory: Peaches and clean.

I bought this in the Yule Monty gift set that I picked up before Christmas for £30 down from £60 in boots and this has been great in helping to clear up my skin as the cold wet and gloomy English weather was really effecting my skin conditions and giving me a lot of break out troubles and this has really helped! it feels cleansing on my skin and has a gorgeous slight peach scent to it.

Soap and Glory: The Righteous butter.

Another S&G product from the same set, I just love this as it smells lovely as do most of the S&G products quite honestly and it's great at moisturizing my skin and sinking into the skin rather quickly so I'm not left standing around waiting to get dressed and get on with my life.

Apocalips: Across the universe.
(excuse my naked face. I've been ill and my skin has suffered)
After an unsure start with the apocalips products as I was unsure weather I preferred lip lacquers to my lipsticks, I quickly fell in love with them once I gave them a chance, Across the universe is a gorgeous deep red shade and I now keep it in my bag always and the last week at least if not longer I have had this on me smoochers and have loved it.

Breaking Bad.

Now I may be rather behind on this series as I'm aware it has already finished and many people had already jumped on the bandwagon and been left heartbroken after it's ending but as someone that already has many tv shows to catch up on and regularly watch... I decided to wait a while before starting this series. so far I have really loved it, I did feel the first season was rather slow, though I understand it was to build up background detail. I thoroughly enjoyed the last two episodes of season 1 and look forward to continuing watching this unique and interesting show.

Music.

Rather than just one song there's a few I've really enjoyed listening to this month so I'll list a few and feel free to give them a listen.
Kodaline- All I want
Rihanna feat mikky- stay
Lorde- Royals
Arctic Monkeys- AM Album
       -Especially 'Do I wanna know'
Swedish House Mafia- Don't you worry child
One Republic- Counting stars

Tartan Satchel.

I got this as a present for Christmas and I cannot explain how much I love it. I have a bit of an obsession for satchels and honestly would gladly own 100 of the beauties, Sadly I don't have the money for that but I also really loved the tartan trends that were very prominent during the winter months. So this bag was absolutely beautiful. It's now the bag I use for college and a lot of other outings though I do try and give it a break and I would be devastated if it broke anymore anytime soon. (you may notice a golden ball is missing off one strap, came off the first day I used it)

Polka Dot shirts.
I have developed a very recent obsession with polka dot shirts recently also, I just love how sweet and cute they look and own a black shirt with white polka dots as well as a white shirt with black polka dots, and they are some of my favourite clothing pieces in my wardrobe currently. I'm also very in love with the heart rather than dots on clothing and have been restraining myself from spending all my money on these cute patterns on dress, shirts anything I can find. I need help I tell ya.

Statement necklace.

I picked this piece up from primark before Christmas as well and I absolutely love it, It's such a bold statement necklace that quickly adds a little edge and detail to an outfit and I have worn in quite a lot through out January both with evening outfits and for casual days out. It's a simple beauty.

The Body Shop: Mango Body Mist.
I picked this up with a £3 off voucher from body shop and it's such a gorgeous scent. Not overpowering but just right. I take it around with me all the time and use it whenever i feel necessary or need a refresh. beauty.

And that is pretty much all my favourites for the month of January I could probably list many more but I won't as I'm being strict for my first little monthly favourites!
What were your favourites this month?
Should I check them out myself?
