Sunglasses Galore

So hi...

Although it doesn't really feel like it when you look outside the window, summer is fast approaching. As such I decided to dig out my sunglasses with the hopes that it would encourage the sun to make a few appearances. After digging them all out I realised, damn. I have a fair few pairs of sunglasses, which you know, I'm willing to show off to you all. I'm pretty sure they were all mostly from Primark and under like £2/3 but they do the job and I like them.

These 5 are the actual proper pairs that I own. I also have 3 pairs of bright blue glasses that I've acquired from my student union but I don't really feel like I'll be wearing them casually. Sorry BCUSU. All of these were primark except the purple pair which I actually bought in spain last year as I had forgot to take some with me. The white and pick pairs are also pretty new and unused an I had gotten them at the end of  summer last year and so I didn't actually get a chance to wear them all that much. My favourite pair are just the normal black pair, because I'm boring and they are the old faithful pair that can go with any outfit.
I like to think I have a pair of sunglasses to suit any mood or outfit I might fancy in summer.
Do you own more than 1 or 2 pairs of sunglasses?

My Dorm/Uni Room Essentials

So Hi...

It's not long now till I'm back off to uni for my second year, it feels like only a few weeks ago that I was panicking about moving into Accommodation for my first year! Although I'll have my own flat ( with 2 friends) I still have a few must have items to make it feel homely. I think this is super important for your first year! It can feel pretty bare and lonely when you first move in. New place, New room, it can be pretty scary!
So I thought I would write about my essentials to make my room feel homely and comforting!
This Idea was given to me by a brand called Parachute Home! They have a load of Quality bedding and cosy things to spruce up your room. May seem expensive but I definitely think it would last and feel super soft!
Check them out here: http://www.parachutehome.com

So My Dorm Essentials?

Bedding: The Bed is the easiest and probably most effective way to immediately make your bare room feel more you. putting on some pretty sheets and adding some pretty pillows give the room a little personality and shows off your tastes!

I have a number of different bed sets and like to swap them out, My favourites are this gorgeous skyline which I got from Asda And this super summery pineapple cover. So pretty.
Throws: Are another way to decorate a bed, Mine is a simple black flurry one from primark but I'd love to get a brighter patterned one!
Pillows: I only owe 3 pillows to decorate my bed with currently but I'm desperate to build up my collection by about 10x. The pillows I currently have as you can see are three cream ones, with one in the shape of a heart which, once again was from Primark. Sorry but Primark does pretty home stuff for super cheap.

Photos: Pretty obvious but sticking up photos is a great way to personalize your uni room. I decided to put mine up in a little heart pattern above my bed which was super simple but looked really nice.

Notice board: Most uni Accommodation rooms have some form of notice board, Usually with all the safety stuff pinned to it at the beginning, since you're not really allowed to have things up on the walls in most places it's great to use this to stick up any posters, I used mine for my planner poster I got at the uni Fair (Go to these it's freebie galore) and little tickets and a t-shirt from nights out, which I put photos on top of.

Little ornaments: This won't be for every one but having little cute nik naks on my shelves other than uni books and notes definitely made my room look better.

And those are my Dorm Essential for comfort. I may do a few more posts like these, Such as Essentials for the kitchen or bath room! I know a lot of people worry over what things to take to uni.
Did or do you have thing to bring that homely feel to a new room?

Primark Mini Haul

So hi...

Before I broke my foot, that day I actually had a really good day just shopping on my own and getting a few things I'v wanted for a while, I also made a trip to primark, I wasn't looking for anything in particular but that always seems to be how you find the best things.

So accessory wise I picked up these gorgeous little earrings for £1! they are really interesting as well, the peal sits at the front and the gold triangle sits at the back of the ear piercing for that extra detail. The glasses were actually bought by my mum for our Race for life team, but I thought they were pretty cute and from primark so I thought I would include them. And my Favourite is this set of three chockers/necklaces, they are quite small and cute and I love the little bits of colour in them. I've seen a load of amazing looking necklaces and chockers from Primark but as my local store is pretty small we don't get much of the seasonal products which sucks, I am aiming to go shopping elsewhere soon though once I can walk.
Clothes wise I was good and didn't let myself walk around too much, I picked up these two printed tees for £3 each, the ying yang one I actually cut the arms off to make it more of a tank. The tigers one I bought kind of as a respect to my uni as we are the Bcu Tigers and the print is quite similar to my uni symbol. And finally the gorgeous summer shorts, I'd seen these around a lot but hadn't seen many of them in store, the shorts section in my local Primark is a bomb shell and nearly impossible to find anything. But I managed to grab these in my size and I can't wait to wear them! Since the sun disappeared I'm hoping it'll make an appearance in august.
And that's my little haul from primark! not too much stuff but I'm happy with it.

Any purchases you're loving from Primark recently?

Potter Love!

So hi..

Now this is a little bit of an odd post but I realized I bought these two items within a relatively short amount of time, to the point where I was wearing the top at the time the choker arrived and put them on together to realize that I looked like the biggest Harry potter fan!

So I first picked up the top from Primark, I think it was only around £6 but I loved the faded burgundy colour and the simple print, Feels like it shows I like harry potter but I still like to look good and not obsessed! It's a super comfy material as well so it's just nice to feel cosy but look pretty good.

The Choker I ordered online from Ebay, I was just looking for chokers in general and thought this was an awesome looking one, I actually ordered this before the top, and forgotten about it as it took a few weeks to arrive because it was shipped from Hong Kong, it arrived conveniently the day after the Primark visit where I decided to wear my potter top. I was so excited with how good the choker looked that I wore them together and realised how much of a fan I looked like. I don't mind though. I mean it is Harry potter.

Primark Haul!

So hi...

I hope you guys enjoy hauls, This is my second ( after the Superdrug beauty haul here) and I have another one planned for a make-up revolution haul as I went a bit crazy on their site the other day. Anyway for now we're talking Primark, I have to say for a stingy student like me primark is just so good. Of course the quality isn't absolutely amazing but the products do last a fair while when treated kindly and they are so so cheap! so probably about 2 weeks ago me and my flatmates had a little wander around and I came out with £40 well spent.

First of all as a basic necessity I picked up some tights, nice and simple. Next I picked up this gorgeous multi-chain necklace! It's actually so pretty, It's like a statement necklace but at the same time it's so simplistic and cute, and i love the little part at the end of the necklace, It's just all round pretty.

After I picked up these cute floral slip on shoes, I'm recently really loving patterned slips on's and unfortunately primark was way too packed and messy for me to properly have a good look around the shoe section but I did get time to grab these in my size and get out of there, they are as expect don't have a super thick sole but they are definitely super comfy and great for when I really can't be bothered but still wanna make some effort to get about the day.

I also picked up a home item in the form of this super summery Duvet set, I seen it a while back on gabs from VelvetGh0st's Instagram and I immediately fell in love with it! I also found out it's reversible, one side is bigger multi coloured pineapples, while the other side is grey coloured smaller pineapples, two looks in one! amazing, It's currently on my bed sheets and it makes me happy.

Next is clothes where I surprisingly only picked up two bits, mainly because I just couldn't deal with being in there too long as it was hectic and I think my friends felt similarly. The first thing I got was this super cosy harry potter print top, which I'll be mentioning tomorrow so I won't talk any more about that!

The other thing I got was quite a risky purchase but it was only £5 so I didn't feel it would be much of a lost if I didn't like it.
It's this white playsuit with a pretty neon coloured Aztec print and I thought this would be great for the middle of summer on a super hot day when I'm out and about with a nice jacket and some cool sandals ( which is on my list to buy! )

And those were all my purchases from Primark recently! Though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dying for anther cheap shopping spree, especially with my uni year nearing an end, I think I might treat myself!

The Whole Make-up collection: Nails.

So hi...

LAst post of my whole make-up collection series today and it's a biggie! Talking nails today and I have a fair few of nail polishes, because of this I'll be listing the shades from each brand! You may also notice I have a lot of greens blues reds and purples for nails, i don't mean to I don't tend up picking those shades and colours up..
First I'll get the nail remover out the way, just two of these. First is the superdrug's own brand nail polish which I use with cotton pads, nice and simple. Second is for the laziest of the lazy! From primark's beauty range is the very convenient twist pot. It's so easy, out your finger in and twist, you do have to have for finger in there a while but still the easiest option for now.

Anyhow Let's get on with the actual nail polishes now, starting with the brand I own the most of, which unsurprisingly is MUA, £1 nail polish just can't be laughed at, it last about 4-5 days with 2-3 coats and no base or top coat so can probably last at least a week if you went the whole way with base and top coat.
MUA, Left to Right:
Fever Red
Sweet Peach
Lush Lilac
Plum Noir
Pitch Black
Pistachio Ice Cream
Strawberry Crush
Mud Pie
Koala Bear
Moody Mink
Leapfrog
All Nude
Bright Coral
Bold Blue
Ultramarine
And lastly from MUA is the super strength polish base coat.

The next brand Is PS beauty from Primark, I have a lot of these as they do little mini sets of 4 polishes for £1, that 25p per nail varnish.

Unfornunately the primark polishes don't have shade names of their packaging but I own a blue set of 4 and a red set. I also own two of their single pots which are £1 each, one is a gorgeous sky blue colour and the other is a gorgeous sparkly purply tinted burgundy colour.
I have one more nail varnish from Primark which came from a nail set with this polish and glitter, I wasn't fond of the glitter though so I like to wear this lilac grey colour on it's own, very minimal and pretty.

Those two are my biggest collection, after these it's just very random polishes I've picked up or gotten as a present.
Miss Sporty.
Miss Sporty also don't have shades on their bottles but I have a clear polishes a perfect green turquoise colour and a very bright bold blue colour.
Next I own three shades from Matalan which I'm pretty sure I got from my mother as she's the only person in my family that shops there! these were in a set as a Christmas present I'm pretty sure, You might be able to guess but they also do not name separate names to their shades. So I have a pretty golden colour, a dark shimmery red and a very strange muddy brown/ nude colour which is pretty nice on the nails.

So now we're on to the singles, I have one from Technics which is a super dark blue colour.
And Lastly is a nail polish from colourworks, which I don't actually know where I've gotten it from, but it's an orangey pink colour.

And so this mini series comes to a end. Did you enjoy seeing all my beauty products?

And We're off to the Races. #ColourMeMarch

So hi...

Bit of an out of the usual schedule post today, aren't you guys lucky. and anyone noticed the title? It made me think of Lana Del Ray's song 'Off to the races' very post appropriate.

Anyway I was recently asked to take part in the #ColourMeMarch Campaign as apart of the Cheltenham Races Ladies day this Wednesday!
You may have guessed from the colour part but it's an event that celebrates colour and style, though of course you would still want to look classy and appropriate for the races. It's a very fancy and gorgeous event with classy style all over the place, which seemed much more fashionable than little ol' me is capable of... however I was asked to create a colourful but appropriate look which would be wearable to the races. So I thought I better get my fashion on and see what I could do.

Now colour is now something I wear often, not due to me disliking colour but I'm one of those people that worry often about wearing things too colourful, I mean black looks slim, and boy do I need slim. But when thinking about this I thought about my wardrobe and worked out a few outfits.
As I'm indecisive I decided to show off 2-3 different outfits.

The first outfit choice was created by the idea that one colour my wardrobe is full of is red. I'm often told red is one colour that suits me and as such often get bought it, red shoes red lipstick red clothes, I have it all. so why not mash it together into a redtastic outfit one come wear watching the races?

I chose my staple piece of my bright red skirt and old faithful prom shoes ( red stilettos, I was a brave child apparently) and went from there. I decided on a plain black ( hear me out) vest top and then a navy and cream block shirt over the top unbuttoned and tucked in along with the vest top. This was because I'm a comfort kinda girl, I like to look good and feel comfortable, with this in mind I always find keeping my shirts buttoned up distracts me for the whole day, are the buttons all come up correctly does it sit right etc etc. I always thought to layer and use the shirt almost like a jacket, rather than cover the colourful red skirt up in my tie up black coat.

However if necessary I thought to add a scarf, recently bought from Paris to the coat in order to keep the colour there and keep myself warm also, This is also a cover up I would be able to do few all the outfits I've chosen. And That's outfit number one for you. Do you think I look good enough for the Races? I think I'm not too shabby!

The second outfit choice is probably my favourite. The center piece and you may have guessed is this gorgeous mint green midi skirt which was only a few pound from Primark, I love the floral patterns on it. I paired with the trusty black vest top and my Select floral kimono and a gold and cream flower statement necklace from ebay. Bag-wise I went for yet another satchel, ( what can I say to me they spell bag class) this one is a gorgeous big black satchel with a cute colourful tartan print of the front, just to add that extra oomph of colour. Overall I love how adult and classy the midi skirt looks and with some chunky boots and high pony tail I felt I brought a little bit of my style to the races.

The Third and Final outfit is for the hopeful ones wishing of sun. Sunnys and all this was the outfit I would chose if I was super hopeful for the Sun's graceful appearance while at the races. this pretty little number is a playsuit I picked up from clothesminded.co.uk and while it's base colour is black it's pattern brings out subtle colour. I wore some pointed heels with a frill trim at the front and a simple monochrome shoulder bag from new look, I also wore cat eye sunglasses in preparation!

And those are my #ColourMeMarch outfit choices for the Cheltenham Races Ladies day. Not the fanciest outfits and I have no big hats to wear on my head but with what I have as a student but I am happy with these outfits.

What sort of colourful outfits would you wear to the Races?

Ps beauty Make up look.

So hi.

So you may already know, primark has a beauty range, Ps. beauty, which is ever expanding, they have a few things I actually want to try out since it's so cheap. Anyhow, as apart of my christmas stocking which my mum loves doing for me and my sisters ( Even though I'm the youngest at 19) but I got a few pieces of ps.beauty make-up, and I thought it would be cool to do a make-up look just of the range, Except from the base however as I don't know if they have anything for the base yet? (anyone know?) But this was a look I put together using a ps.beauty eye-shadow palette, a lipstick, eyebrow pencil and liquid eyeliner.

You may noticed how awful the condition of the eye-shadow palette, this was because when I bought it I was in a rush so quickly picked it up and sadly, one of the shadows was badly cracked, to the point it's barely there, which is unfortunate but I'll learn from that mistake so.
What do you think of the look, I actually quite like the range, I've written about the eyeliner before (here, please excuse the awful photo quality etc) and wasn't that fond of it but I have to say at the moment I'm loving it, It's my everyday liner at the moment as my collection and L'Oreal favourites are a little bit dried out and it's easy for me to work with and I love it.

Have you tried any of Primark's Ps.Beauty collection? Any suggestions for me?

Black Friday Buys.

So Hi...

You may have noticed that black Friday is suddenly a very big deal in the UK now, with a ton of non america brands jumping on the discount and offer band wagon. Not that I mind too much, though honestly I don't mind the excuse to look around for some deals.
I was in Birmingham city centre to head to TheBodyShop event and had a little look around, I only got 3 things though so I didn't wanna call this a haul.

First 2 things I picked up were from primark, they weren't really in the sale but they didn't cost too much to begin with so it's fine!
The gorgeous midi-skirt was only £8 and I absolutely love the colours as well the pattern, It's not too much.
Then I found these boots, How perfect are they???? I want so many of the boots in primary but these were the best ones I found for £22. I can't wait to buy a load more after christmas. Maybe I'll do a boots haul?

Lastly was the set I got at thebodyshop, due to the 50% off deal we got it was only £13. So far I've been loving them, but I'll say more in a future post my full opinions.

We'll talk soon lovelies!

The Recent Buys.

So hi...

The winter season added with the money supply that is student finance meant that I've been able to buy a few things for myself in the last few months. Now I haven't bought much and made sure nothing was too expensive so I didn't break the bank!

Since It's getting mighty cold now, with it turning winter and all. So Buying a nice wooly hat was in order, I found this one in sports direct while looking for football gear and decided it would be perfect, I have beanie hats already but this one is just much more cosy and winter appropriate looking. If my memory serves me right it was about £6-7
Next of the thing I've bought is bags, two of them to be exact. The gorgeous burgundy red clutch was £6 from primark and It's just such a pretty bag that actually fits a decent amount in despite it's size, I didn't need this really I just wanted it...
The other monochrome bag was £15 and I ordered it online from New look. I bought it originally as a replacement bag for the monochrome bag I had from primark that broke the first week of uni, but I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong I do quite like the bag, but I expected it to be a little bigger than it is, it's a struggle as a uni bag which was it's purpose, so although I may have to buy a bigger bag it is lovely and I will still keep using it.
Onto the beauty related purchases.
On a unnecessary but at the same time SO necessary visit to superdrug I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer and got myself some more nail varnish, One clear coat polish that can be used for a base and a top coat which is convenient. I then picked up a black nail polish called 'Pitch black' which I don't really need to explain shade wise... I just wanted to have a black nail polish, it felt needed. The last nail polish is a very cute light lilac colour called ' lush lilac' the inner girly girl in me had to owe this, it looks so cute and I like the idea of wearing it in winter.

I also picked up 2 Apocolips up, One I ordered online for £3-4 which is a bargin and it's in the shade 500 'Luna' It's a very peachy shade and although I don't think i work it as well as I'd like I still love the colour. I'll make it work somehow. The other Apocolips I picked up was in boots and from the new Matte range. IT's an absolutely beautiful berry picky shade called 'Meteoric Matte' and I straight up love it. This will most likely be my go to winter lip.

And those are my buys from the past month or so, not too bad I'd say. I'm budgeting myself well And I've already got most of my Christmas presents for people bought. On a Roll.

We'll talk soon lovelies!
