The Whole Make-up collection: Nails.

So hi...

LAst post of my whole make-up collection series today and it's a biggie! Talking nails today and I have a fair few of nail polishes, because of this I'll be listing the shades from each brand! You may also notice I have a lot of greens blues reds and purples for nails, i don't mean to I don't tend up picking those shades and colours up..
First I'll get the nail remover out the way, just two of these. First is the superdrug's own brand nail polish which I use with cotton pads, nice and simple. Second is for the laziest of the lazy! From primark's beauty range is the very convenient twist pot. It's so easy, out your finger in and twist, you do have to have for finger in there a while but still the easiest option for now.

Anyhow Let's get on with the actual nail polishes now, starting with the brand I own the most of, which unsurprisingly is MUA, £1 nail polish just can't be laughed at, it last about 4-5 days with 2-3 coats and no base or top coat so can probably last at least a week if you went the whole way with base and top coat.
MUA, Left to Right:
Fever Red
Sweet Peach
Lush Lilac
Plum Noir
Pitch Black
Pistachio Ice Cream
Strawberry Crush
Mud Pie
Koala Bear
Moody Mink
Leapfrog
All Nude
Bright Coral
Bold Blue
Ultramarine
And lastly from MUA is the super strength polish base coat.

The next brand Is PS beauty from Primark, I have a lot of these as they do little mini sets of 4 polishes for £1, that 25p per nail varnish.

Unfornunately the primark polishes don't have shade names of their packaging but I own a blue set of 4 and a red set. I also own two of their single pots which are £1 each, one is a gorgeous sky blue colour and the other is a gorgeous sparkly purply tinted burgundy colour.
I have one more nail varnish from Primark which came from a nail set with this polish and glitter, I wasn't fond of the glitter though so I like to wear this lilac grey colour on it's own, very minimal and pretty.

Those two are my biggest collection, after these it's just very random polishes I've picked up or gotten as a present.
Miss Sporty.
Miss Sporty also don't have shades on their bottles but I have a clear polishes a perfect green turquoise colour and a very bright bold blue colour.
Next I own three shades from Matalan which I'm pretty sure I got from my mother as she's the only person in my family that shops there! these were in a set as a Christmas present I'm pretty sure, You might be able to guess but they also do not name separate names to their shades. So I have a pretty golden colour, a dark shimmery red and a very strange muddy brown/ nude colour which is pretty nice on the nails.

So now we're on to the singles, I have one from Technics which is a super dark blue colour.
And Lastly is a nail polish from colourworks, which I don't actually know where I've gotten it from, but it's an orangey pink colour.

And so this mini series comes to a end. Did you enjoy seeing all my beauty products?

The Recent Buys.

So hi...

The winter season added with the money supply that is student finance meant that I've been able to buy a few things for myself in the last few months. Now I haven't bought much and made sure nothing was too expensive so I didn't break the bank!

Since It's getting mighty cold now, with it turning winter and all. So Buying a nice wooly hat was in order, I found this one in sports direct while looking for football gear and decided it would be perfect, I have beanie hats already but this one is just much more cosy and winter appropriate looking. If my memory serves me right it was about £6-7
Next of the thing I've bought is bags, two of them to be exact. The gorgeous burgundy red clutch was £6 from primark and It's just such a pretty bag that actually fits a decent amount in despite it's size, I didn't need this really I just wanted it...
The other monochrome bag was £15 and I ordered it online from New look. I bought it originally as a replacement bag for the monochrome bag I had from primark that broke the first week of uni, but I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong I do quite like the bag, but I expected it to be a little bigger than it is, it's a struggle as a uni bag which was it's purpose, so although I may have to buy a bigger bag it is lovely and I will still keep using it.
Onto the beauty related purchases.
On a unnecessary but at the same time SO necessary visit to superdrug I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer and got myself some more nail varnish, One clear coat polish that can be used for a base and a top coat which is convenient. I then picked up a black nail polish called 'Pitch black' which I don't really need to explain shade wise... I just wanted to have a black nail polish, it felt needed. The last nail polish is a very cute light lilac colour called ' lush lilac' the inner girly girl in me had to owe this, it looks so cute and I like the idea of wearing it in winter.

I also picked up 2 Apocolips up, One I ordered online for £3-4 which is a bargin and it's in the shade 500 'Luna' It's a very peachy shade and although I don't think i work it as well as I'd like I still love the colour. I'll make it work somehow. The other Apocolips I picked up was in boots and from the new Matte range. IT's an absolutely beautiful berry picky shade called 'Meteoric Matte' and I straight up love it. This will most likely be my go to winter lip.

And those are my buys from the past month or so, not too bad I'd say. I'm budgeting myself well And I've already got most of my Christmas presents for people bought. On a Roll.

We'll talk soon lovelies!

Payday haul!

So hi...
The end of may gave me a rather decent payday due to lots of events and Luton down going up in the league and being busy. This meant I finally had a chance to pick myself up some summer clothes, which I have been desperate for! especially for some new dresses, I managed to pick up quite a few bits and the day itself was lovely as after shopping me and Ross went to see the new X-Men film and had a lovely carvery afterwards, it was great. Anyway back onto the bits I picked up!

So firstly thought I would go through the bottoms I got, the three shorts are all from primark, with the mint green and purple shorts priced at £5 which is pretty good as they fit comfortably and look nice.
The striped pair were slightly higher at £7 but still very worth it, they are also slightly longer than the others, which are almost like short shorts, which some people may not feel comfortable with.
The jeggings I collected from Select, I'm wholly converted to jeggings, I hardly wear jeans and jeggings are just the perfect bottom for me, these ones were about £12 and has lovely lace detailing on the pockets.
When I headed out for my day of shopping I made an little objective to buy at least two dresses and i'm proud to say that objective was met! The Aztec dress was from Primark at a bargain of £5, it's pretty, perfectly summery and the colours are not neon bright which is a trend i'm not keen on for clothing in summer.
The second dress was from select ( can you tell what shops are my favourite?) and i absolutely love this dress, it sits gorgeously and I could easily dress it either up or down for day or night time wear, and the lace detailing on the front trim of the dress is just amazingly cute, I think this was £14.

Made a visit to Superdrug on my travels ( hoe surprising) And picked up these three products.
The Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Colour Lipsticks were on offer at £3.99 and as I love my matte kate moss lipstick how could I refuse, I picked up the gorgeous red shade 01, Despite my lipstick collection already 80% shades of red. I just couldn't risk and it was definitely a good call as I love it.
Next is another MUA nail varnish, in the shade bold blue this is a perfect colour for summer and I already have this on my nails as I type!
Last but not least was yet another can of Dry shampoo, I picked up Bastiste in a cherry scent, which I thought would be rather interesting to try as I usually go for the safe option of floral.

And that was that, a good few purchases to keep me satisfied... until next payday that is!
Get any nice summer buys recently?

Collective haul! Primark, Select, Superdrug, Etc..

So hi...

I may have been doing a few bits of shopping over the last few weeks, when I had my operation and was house bound for a week I took it as an opportunity to order a few bits online, so i could have some happiness in the form of parcels at my door! As well as that I have been in to town a lot over the Easter holidays and picked up a number of bits and bobs which I thought would be nice to show all together in a collective haul of all the things I've got!

So For Easter I got a £20 mall voucher from my dad as he doesn't buy me and my sisters chocolate, So I went to primark to pick up a few home bits for my self, the thought of Uni and my own place has recently made my interest in homey bits increase dramatically!

While In primark I picked up a few candles, recommended by my candle obsessed mother who swore to me that despite the price they were actually scented when you burnt them. And they actually do, I preferred the small pots at £1 each as you can probably tell from the photo, but the bigger vanilla and coconut candle at £2 was very nice also. I've made a mental note to collect a few more of these soon.
I also picked up some face clothes as I was lacking in them and primark was having a home sale event so they were only £1.50! nice.
On a separate trip I also picked up the much talked about, Garnier micellar cleansing water with some accompanying pads and oh my.
This bottle has changed my make-up removing laziness and I like to use it to cleanse my skin after using my Soap and glory peaches and clean as the micellar water leaves my skin feeling fantastic, so glad I followed the raves about this product!
This was a large group picture I took to show all the other its and bobs I've bought, Mostly through Easter presents and payday.
On the beauty side of things I picked up a few primark nails, after being slightly disappointed with some a while back I decided to try again after hearing lily melrose praise them, I picked up an adorable strawberry set and a cute daisy set.
Making a visit to superdrug, which I possibly do way too often (opps) I was on the hunt for a nice smelling body butter, After using up the small tub of strawberry body butter from the body shop, I just knew I could find another nice smelling cheap one and oh boy I did. This cherry and macadamia body butter smells divine and cost only £2! brilliant.
Also on the hunter for a face primer which I have been needed for a while I picked up MUA's offering at only £3 Why not. I had previously wanted to try the maybelline baby skin pore eraser but could not justify the spending at all!
Lastly I went to lush, uncertain of whether i wanted to buy anything. I've wanted the bubblegum scrub for a long while now but as lush is pretty expensive, I never really had the spare money, however after a little chat with one of the ladies who always seems to serve me the few times i do go there I took the plunge and went for it. I'm happy I did, before using this my lips that been in awful condition and it was really bothering me, now they feel soft and lovely. (plus it tastes amazing...)
Also in the photo at the top of the post you may have noticed a lip product, after much debate I picked up a Tanya burr lip gloss in the colour 'Vampire kiss' but I'll be posting about that shortly
On the fashion side of things, I may admit I am addicted to shirts and collars, my wardrobe is slowly being overtaken by them, But maybe that collection is a post for another time. The peachy shirt with the gorgeous black trim was a present from my mum, I do know she picked it up from select however, as I had been eyeing it up myself already.
I myself picked up the other two items, with the mint green cami top at £6 from select, I got it as I feel my wardrobe is really lacking in layering items and I could do with a few simple basics added to it. The other top is a black shirt that is slightly cropped with an adorable peter pan collar, the material of this one is also a bit usual for a shirt, more stretchy but still very very comfy.
This was a pretty simple purchase, I needed some more shoes and you can't go wrong with black plimsolls from primark, especially considering how cheap they are, as well as actually sturdy.
This is a better picture of the things I got for Easter, the striped clothing item you see is a long sleeved dress, However in my eagerness to wear it I didn't get a better picture and it seems to have disappeared in the wash! darn. it was around £5 from primark ( yet again)
Last but not least I got a new bag! this gorgeous browny-tan coloured satchel was only £9 from primark! can you believe it? £9! It's also very sturdy. Not at all thin of flimsy feeling like some bags you can find it primark, I've been using it for my college bag and it fits all my books in no problem. A bit more boringly I got some leggings as well as mine often seem to disappear in this house...

And that's all folks! quite a lot of stuff but I am rather happy with it all, I won't be able to do much more shopping anytime soon as large as what i've got here but It was nice to feel quite spoiled and do a lot of retail therapy

Primark make-up?

So hi...

Primark are not really the first brand you think of when you consider where to buy make-up but a few weeks ago primark had a little re-branding of their make-up range and released 'Ps. beauty', as a fan of trying new things and affordable make-up I bought a few bits to try which I have mentioned before and I thought I would come back with my thoughts.

Now the moisturizing lip crayons are my favourite, I bought 2, one in a red colour and one in nude and I absolutely love them, they are great for when I kinda can't be bothered for lipstick, I'm particularly fond of the nude colour because it does feel rather moisturizing and soft on my lips and added a nice bit of colour.

Apart from their lip crayons I've always quite liked their nail varnishes, with a small set of 4 for £2 how could I complain? the quality is rather decent, needs more than one coat but they do last a decent amount of time, I also like that the set are usually 4 different shades and types of one colour, I've got a set of reds and a set of blues with a light one, bright one, dark one and a glittery one. so for £2 I've got all the variety of red and blue nail shades I would need really.

Now I've already mentioned my experiences with Primark's liquid eyeliner and although I don't know if they have changed the formula since their re-branding, but it flaked quite a bit and I was not impressed much, their eye liner pencils of the other hand is rather standard and worth the £1 for 2 pencils.

Is there any other primark beauty or make-up products that you would suggest and have tried?

The Growing Nail Varnish Collection...

So hi..

I thought I would do a little nail varnish appreciation post to my collection as it has grown a large amount. Most of it developing over 2013, it's not really a huge collection, but I have bought a few nice cheap nail varnish that I thought I could show you all.

My collection is mostly made up of MUA nail varnishes and a few Primark offerings, as I don't have the money to spend £5+ of nail varnishes the ones I have do me fine!

Firstly I'll show you the MUA portion of my collection!
I have 6 of them in the colours...

 'All Nude'

 'Moody Mink'

'Strawberry Crush'

'Mud Pie'

'Koala Bear'

And 'Plum Noir'

They are all gorgeous colours and for £1 they work quite well and tend to last me a good few days, though it does take 2 sometimes 3 coats for the colour to show but I can live with that! The packaging is also rather pretty, very similar to the Essie nail varnishes I think.

Next are the Primark nail varnishes I have
I bought 2 sets of 4 mini varnishes before which were £2 each and I also have the odd colour from a manicure set  that I reviewed on the blog before!
The odd one out is a muddy grey colour? Honestly I've said before I would know what to call this colour but it is pretty and good for calmer nails all the same.

One set of 4 were a range of red shades

The other set are a range of blue shades

I love both these little sets as I like the lighter and darker options as well as a bit of sparkle thrown in and at £2 a set, meaning 50p a bottle I enjoy them and they are good, they don't tend to last as long as MUA but they manage 3-4 days before chipping, which is good enough to me!

I then have three nail varnishes from 'Miss Sporty' Which I got from Superdrug and although I don't remember the exact prices I'm sure they were £2-3 and actually despite being the most expensive they are the ones I dislike most, I just find the formula a bit goopy and annoying sometimes, though I can just have one coat i find it messy, But I do still use them.
I have a clear varnish.
A bright blue one
and a very pretty aqua colour.

Last in my collection is a more recent buy, I  got it from Body care and It's a technic nail varnish. I picked it up for £1 just to try it out as I was sure I had heard good things about Technic and I was nicely surprised, It's quite a big bottle and the brush is easy to work with, I find you could have one coat but it's better with two, I picked up a midnight blue colour which I find gorgeous!

And that's my nail varnish collection, not very large or very fancy but I really to like what I've got and I don't see much reason to spend a lot of money on nail varnish when I'm fond of Mua already.
Although I do want to try out Barry M and some of the offerings from Models Own...
Maybe one day I'll treat myself!
