Summer Clean Up!

So hi...

I'm comfortable back at home now, and as such I've been getting used to being in my old room again. The last week It's become a right state, due to a mixture of never being there ( eg grabbing or chucking stuff around then leaving) and trying to unpack everything. The First few days back I brought a load of my things up to unpack and ended up hardly unpacking them, so my room was covered in things. I've also had trouble refinding places for things, since I re arranged a lot of stuff to fit in my uni room they don't quite fit the same now i'm back home. It took a while to get the motivation, it was that thing where I had so much to do I just didn't know where to start and so avoided it. But It could not be avoided any long, and just over 2 hours later I had a pretty clean looking room. I still have clothes to unpack and sort through my draws but walking into my room, It looks pretty clean. So. how'd I go about it?

Tackling it in sections: This is a super big thing for me, Choosing little sections of my room to clear out made the whole job seems so much easier and manageable, for Example I chose to first sort out my make-up area/desk, then my wardrobe, then windowsill and so on and so forth. it meant that the room came together much faster than I expected because I didn't stress about the room as a whole looking messy.

Clearing the whole area and restarting: With each area of my Room i tackled I moved everything away from the area. for The most part I used my bed as a bit of a dumping ground, chucking everything on there before dusting and wiping down the area itself. This just allows me to focus on what I want to put where as the space is clear and de-cluttered and I can re-arrange and move around things as I want.

Clearing the things you don't need: I have to admit I'm a little bit of a hoarder, I hate throwing things away. Toys and teddies were things I never wanted to throw away before despite not touching them for about 9 years. I haven't dumped the teddies yet as they sit hidden in my top cupboard of my built in wardrobe, but I still had some old Polly pockets sitting on my window sill that just needed to go, My room looked a little childish with them sitting there. I also just clear and tidied a lot of other things which cluttered my room but I never actually used. It's great to now look around my room and feel like it looks that little more me and more adult like.

Those are probably the core things I did to help clear out my room. I still want to change a load of things about my room but all in due time I'm dying to completely redecorate my room, I'm not longer feeling the Hot pink feature wall that makes my room look super gloomy and tints the room in a horrible light! (Which you can probably tell from these photos). The light bulb in my room also is super orange, so I want to make that brighter and whiter. So Some of the changes I want to make are small and achievable over time, While others will be a long time yet. This may only be my room once again for 3 months but this is still my home. I'll always have this place to come back to from uni, So I should make sure it's a place that reflects me and makes me feel comfortable.

Any tips or things you do to help yourself get things done (particularly cleaning?)

My Perfect Shoe.

So hi...

So It's pretty obvious if you follow me on any social media that I am a major boot lover, I have happily gained a small collection of gorgeous boots that I'm content with, but they other week I've found the perfect heeled shoe for my collection. They aren't really boots so I'd say they are my perfect style of shoe, and they are a great mix between smart looking and edgy looking, just change the outfit and accessories and bam!

Aren't they so pretty????? I love lace up shoes/boots. They are just so nice. They are also easy to just slip on and off once done up and they are really comfortable, but I still get a little height to make people forget how short I actually am, which is always a bonus.  The best thing about these shoes as well Is that I got them from New look in the sale for £12 down from £24, What an absolute bargain right. Couldn't leave them in the store at that price, t would just be rude.

What are you idea of a perfect shoe? let me know in the comments section down below!

Summer Hopes & plans 2015

So hi...

List type posts are so satisfying to write, I don't know why but It's just so simple and it makes me happy making lists. Seriously you guys should see some of my notebooks, list central (there actually will be a little look into my notebooks on Saturday 23rd) Anyway, to the point of this post, Summer is nearly here, though the change of warm sun the rain recently makes summer seem so far away... But for me it is well and truly here. I finish my last exam today and tomorrow I head back to my home town and it's officially the beginning of my Summer. As my year so far I feel has gone pretty damn well I'm hoping to have a very active and exciting Summer to continue my good year. I have a number of little things I want to do, some actual activities and other just general aims I hope to achieve over the whole of summer.

- Get a Summer job (Multiple if possible) -I've actually already got a small cleaning job thanks to my sister but I really want to get a lot of experience and work for savings.
- Aim for £500 towards savings - this is related to the job thing as obviously I need a job to earn money for my savings but I'm really hoping to get at least £500 for my car savings.
- Boost creativity - Not exactly Summer related but I'll have a lot of time to do this over Summer. I really hope to get back into drawing and painting, as well singing, thinking even to return to the old Youtubes.
- Get my Dress making on. - May have mentioned this before but I really want to get a hang of dressmaking, patterns and all. So over Summer I'm really looking forward to learning sewing and creating my own clothes, Also Considering to learn knitting or crocheting.
- Get outside - Little more typical but I want to make a really strong effort to get out and about at least 3-4 days a week, whether that's with friends or just exploring things on my own.
- See the Uni people - Really want to stay in close contact with my friends I've made at Uni, They really mean a lot to me and It'd suck to not see them all Summer, Luckily we've already got a few plans and ideas which is super nice.
- Work on my Health and Fitness game - Already a work in progress this one but Summer gives so much opportunity to work on my self and own confidence and health. I've had a good head start the last few weeks of Uni and really hoping to continue this and as mentioned in the Instagram post I've put up I want to lose a bit of weight.
- Volunteer If I can for a concert or festival - This is a kinda random one I think would be amazing for experience and would just feel amazing, I obvious favourites to volunteer at would be the likes of Reading, Glastonbury and Download. But even a small time one would be super cool.
- Host or Attend A BBQ - Because how could you go the whole summer without having a BBQ?? that's right, you couldn't.
- Become more of a morning person. - I'm a super night owl. Honestly I have always had a super bad sleeping pattern, I'm one of those strange individuals who manages much better on smaller amounts of sleep. I wake up earlier and feeling better on 4/5 Hours sleep than I do 8+ hours sleep. But sleep is important so I want to try get myself up in the mornings as well as get a decent amount of sleep.
- Travel As much as I can - I'm not really talking abroad travelling here but just getting out of my home town, there's so many little places to do around Luton and even London is just up the road, So I wanna go and explore these places a lot more.
- Do want I want and be more adventurous. - I've gone through quite a few changes this year, I've really been able to 'find myself' and feel a lot more confident. A small example is my new piercings, I've wanted them for years, but worried so much about others views that I held back, now that I've got them I feel so much more confident and like my personality is being expressed better. I'm planning to continue this, say ye to more, Not worry about other others opinions and not be put down.

That's the whole of my little list of things I wanna do over the Summer this year.
What plans and hopes do you have for summer this year?

Those Statement Necklaces

So Hi...

I've always been into my necklaces, maybe because I feel like necklaces can look good no matter the size, It's easy sprucing up of an outfit. So along with this I'm a big fan of pretty statement necklaces to add a little more sparkle to a plain or casual outfit. Because of this love I'm got a tiny little collection of my to go statement necklaces which I thought I would show off.
This first necklace is definitely my favourite, It's also probably the first proper chunky statement necklace I ever got, to the point that I don't remember where I got it from or whether I bought it for myself or it was a present, so it's a pretty old one, but It's such a bold statement piece. I always get compliments when I wear this necklace out and it makes an outfit look so much more flashy and add a little of a grunge feel to an outfit.
This simple gold statement necklace was actually only £1 in a local store called 21 in Perry Barr along with the leaf one below which was also £1. What a bargain for a statement necklace! I love this necklace because it's super plain but at the same time paired with a plain black dress for example it makes such a difference and add so much to an outfit.
This necklace as already mentioned was £1. It's another gold one and makes me think of Greek goddess for some reason, Also makes me think of a poison ivy as an outfit. It's such pretty looking and I love the details of the leaves.
This is a super gothic looking necklace and I absolutely love it. It's the sort of necklace that looks absolutely amazing with shirts underneath the collar, So pretty and stylish looking.
This one is a very cutesy necklace that I imagine I'll wear loads in the summer with pretty little summer dresses and play-suits. I think it's also a good choice when I wanna go extra girly looking on a night out or for a cute but smart outfit, I like that it looks like flowers/petals, or maybe that's just me.
This last one is a probably one of the plainest out of the lot and I surprisingly got it from Asda but It's a super sophisticated necklace and it makes me feel very grown up and lady like when I wear it. The woven detail is gorgeous as well.

And that's my little statement necklace collection, I have a huge collection of necklaces in general, Maybe I'll show it off in a blog post one day, though I wouldn't be able to talk about each one like this, we'd be here forever.
Which of these is your favourite necklace? let me know down in the section comments below.

Make-up Revolution Haul Part 2

So Hi...

Part 2 of my Make-up Revolution Haul today and this is a pretty small one, and it also has a little bit of a theme to it. All base related products aiming to improve mover all make-up application.

The first purchases I made is the Pro-face mini brush set. These are pretty adorable little face brushes. I went for the mini set purely because it was cheaper and I personally don't mind working with slightly smaller brushes. The brushes themselves feel lovely and soft and I now want a little candle holder or something to use as a little brush holder for them that can sit next to the bigger brushes.
As well as the mini set I also bought a normal sized brush. I bought the F101 Face brush, just because I don't really have any brushes I feel are really suited for foundation application and It's about time I got one, It's a pretty looking brush and feels super soft and if we get along I may have to purchase a few more brushes from Make up Revolution but we'll see.

The other two products I got are both dedicated to making my make-up last longer and hopefully look better overall. the Pro Fix Spray is something I've been wanting for a while, but so far it has always been sold out in Superdrug. I'm gutted to say that this product was leaking when it arrived so I'm missing half the product but I am waiting for a reply from Make up Revolution about this. But I'm really excited about using it. I also got thr Ultra all day prime and anti-shine balm which I have high hopes for, especially with the anti-shine part. I always feel like my face looks shiny, It's a major issue of mine and although it probably doesn't look anywhere near as bad as I think it's still an issue. So I'm hoping this product will lessen the shine factor and give me a few extra hours of wear for my make-up.

And those are the odd bit's I got in my huge Make-up revolution haul, The biggie is going to be in part 3 with the spring collection set.

Blogging everyday in May.

So hi..

I've seen around the interwebs at the beginning of May a few people deciding to blog or vlog (eg: lilly pebbles) everyday for the month of May. Now as someone who only posts 3 times a week on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I've never really considered doing something like this as I worry about ideas and posting just for the sake of posting. HOWEVER, I've been recently been doing really well with pre-planning and organizing on my blog, I've been good with writing my blog, having decent inspiration and keeping shizz scheduled. I had my posts planned for the whole month of may and still had a few ideas for what to do after. So I thought I'd challenge myself to blog everyday for a whole month. I've already been doing this pretty well so far and do have a lot of posts planned for the whole month. I'm also pretty proud with the posts, I don't feel like I've made up posts or random ideas just for the sake of it and they are posts I think will still hold some interest for readers.

So yeah, look forward to a whole bunch of posts from me this month.
